-Continue to plant zinnia and sunflower seeds for fall bloom and to attract pollinators.
-Water deeply, in the morning, and at the root zone. Fill birdbaths during dry, hot weather.
-Give mums one last haircut at the tips to promote dense bloom before they bud.
-Pinch basil to keep from flowering. Harvest, and make pesto!
-Check for pest damage from slugs, snails, and grasshoppers. Use organic control.
