So, I’ve bought some olive seeds about 2 years ago and I managed to get 3 seeds to sprout. Due to traveling abroad for a couple of months and leaving my plants in someone else’s care, this is the only survivor.
The reason I want to grow my own olive tree has multiple reasons. A) I am absolutely fascinated with witnessing plants grow and develop. B) I would love to grow a tree that would almost be considered my heritage for when I kick the bucket C) I absolutely hate that so many store bought plants here in the netherlands are topped and don’t grow any taller.
This lasts motivation is the the primary reason of this thread. It’s not only with olive trees, but also with lemon trees etc. I am now also growing lemon trees out of seeds from lemons I bought in Italy 🇮🇹
I would love some advice on how to take better care of these plants, so they grow taller. Should I prune side the little twigs that are starting to develop on the side? Or leave them be for now so the plant can grow out bigger and with more leaves?
I am looking forward to hearing your insights on the matter 🙂
