  2. My covid hobby has been a success thanks to your channel specifically. Thanks for making this easier for us newbies.

  3. Have enjoyed gardening along with you this season. I learned a lot! Congratulations on 500K subs! Looking forward to following you into the Fall and beyond!

  4. Happy birthday buddy! I just turned 41 myself on the 9th. I think the camera move was a good one videos are alot more crisp. Just by chance how tall are your hoop houses and are those 2 inch? Thanks sir

  5. Fig question… how many years does it take to see your first figs on your tree I have two Olympians going on second year they are around 6 feet tall …?๐Ÿ˜Š

  6. Congrats! One thing I don't see much of in your garden are flowers. I've found that by attracting beneficial insects/pollinators it has kept the pests well under control.

  7. Thanks for all the videos, and the new camera seems to work great. Dale is a cutie and I hope the thundershirt helped.

  8. ? Regarding fig trees – since they are in buckets – do you root trim them? If so at what age and how often then after. I just transferred a cutting to a bucket. So far it has done really well. Thank you.

  9. Man I just got back from vacation and over half my seedlings for my fall transplants dried up and died on me, I filled the tray up with water but them damn things sucked it all up so fast

  10. I live in zone 6B in Canada. If I were to attempt growing a fig tree in a bucket – which type would you suggest? Video quality was great! Grats on 500K!

  11. I am just wondering if the "thunder shirt" works for Dale. I have been looking at those for my dog when the fireworks fly or the actual thunderstorm reaks havoc.

  12. Congrats. MG!๐Ÿฅณ The video looks great! Thanks for taking us through your troubleshooting. I know some of your advice will be handy to me in the future.๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿพโ€๐ŸŒพ
Perhaps your watering system is breaking your bales down quicker. I'm in Central Texas. We don't see rain for a couple of months during the summer. I've always hand watered my bale gardens, and they never broke down as quickly as yours.
I cover a lot of my crops…from pests and heat. It makes a huge difference! ๐Ÿ›
I'm looking forward to all you have planned…you really are a blessing to a lot of folks! Thanks for your faithfulness, encouragement and plain ole sweet heart!๐Ÿ‘
So glad to see Dale got a thunder shirt…they do seem to work. Love to beautiful Dale!๐Ÿ•๐Ÿ’•

  13. Hey, congrats on 500K subs (WOW). Questions:

    1. How are your blackberries doing in this heat?
    2. What heat tolerant lettuce?! I didn't realize there was such a thing (admittedly I'm not a big lettuce person but I ought to change that).
    3. Do you intend to put your sweet potatoes under shade cloth? Or are they doing OK even in the heat?

Comment on the camera: You're crisply in focus and it seems very stable, but the things behind you are not in focus (duh) and sometimes it's hard to see what you're pointing at. For example when you were describing the avocado tree, it was blurry.

Dale looks very handsome in his new shirt! Poor pup, my furbabies aren't a fan of thunder either.

I love your videos. Please never stop. Not only are your videos very relevant to my climate (Houston Tx) but you explain things very well and have given me warning about a lot of problems I didn't even know to look out for. I also intend to follow your example and set up lots of shade cloth once cooler weather gets here and I can stand to look outside, as part of installing new beds for next year.

  14. Congratulations ๐ŸŽ‰
Dale is such a sweetheart. We got a thunder shirt for our dog too โค
Also, I very much enjoy watching you when you are standing in front of your garden rather than with your home in the background. Itโ€™s visually much more enjoyable. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ Congrats again on your success. Many blessings to you and your family.

  15. Hello, I really enjoy your videos. Just a note, On another channel that I watch they asked viewers to not only hit the subscribe button but to hover it and select all. I am new to youtube and thought I'm subscribed and that was it, but I was missing video releases and then having a difficult time catching up. So now with every release I get notified and can watch right away and stay up tp date. Maybe I was the only one who didn't know but worth a mention to keep you channel going strong.

  16. Congratulations on reaching 500k subscribers! You do a great service for the gardening community sharing your successes and experiments that don't always succeed. The new camera is a definite improvement.

  17. Thanks! I get so much great advice & ideas from your videos. You've made a big difference in my garden this year. BTW, My dog Scout just got a thundershirt & it reduces his weather stress too.

  18. What happened to your drip irrigation system? You dont use it anymore?
    Also, Congrats on 500k!

  19. Congratulations on all your success! Hope you see this. Question about your shade structure. Iโ€™m in 8a and need to build a shade structure for my garden. Next year when do you plan to put it out? Are you keeping the shade structure up in the fall? Thx love your channel ๐ŸŒฑ

  20. I took my Golden Retriever outside during a storm and yelled at the storm and showed her I wasn't afraid. She never had a problem after that. I was holding her in my arms, by the way. Got a friend who would get excited and teased his small dogs during a storm. They ended up being a mess.

  21. Thank you for all your hard work and valuable videos, and โ€œAdventures with Daleโ€ is always fun! Video quality seems really great! On a windy day it will really make a difference.

  22. Congrats!!!! In the part of Texas I am in it has rained once. It takes me about 3 hours to water my trees twice a week. I would say water longer and less frequent. None of my fig trees will turn to their darker color. Seems like they are stalling.

  23. Iโ€™ve got a question about your hoop house. I know you said it was constructed with PVC conduit, but do you have a video of the set up?

  24. Thank you for all the great information. I have learned a lot from your failures, but much more from your successes! I count that a win win! So glad I found your channel. Knew you were just a baby! haha

  25. Congrats on your 500k accomplishment. The gid was just fine. Like a real pro.๐Ÿ‘

  26. Congratulations! You are so good for what you do both gardening and being a YouTuber! Thank you so much!
