  1. Thank you for creating such wonderful content. Would love to visit the garden one day.

  2. 한국의 정원애호가(Garden Lover)로서 제 카오스정원의 석정 조성에 료안지 사례를 참조할 수 있어 좋아요. As a garden lover in Korea, it's nice to be able to refer to the Ryoanji case for the creation of a stone garden in my Chaos Garden.

  3. Just looked it up, and on our first trip to Japan we were also in this rock garden. But I have to admit that the memory of it was not very strong. But we also visited many other sights.

  5. This garden is amazing! I visited 5 years ago, and it was such a surreal experience because I had seen it before in so many different books about Japanese gardens, and suddenly, there I was in the garden! Please do more videos like this; I would like to learn more about my favorite gardens in Kyoto, like Enkoji, Honenin and Tofukuji!

  6. Fascinating. I hope to see this garden in person in November & will ponder the perspective this video explores. In Western gardens, I think the atmosphere & experience is always more important than meaning & facts. I suspect that is a good way to approach Japanese gardens as well.

  7. Thank you for introducing this fascinating garden. You are a wonderful storyteller and filmmaker. I enjoy learning from you.

  8. wow! thank you! waiting for more such videos. this garden is indeed one of my dreamed places to visit.

  9. The production quality on your videos keeps getting better and better! Thank you for discussing the mystery behind Ryoan-ji Temple.

  10. I feel like the painting gave us a hint. The trees beyond the wall were very much a part of why it was such a dramatic view. The current trees in sight don't seem as connected with the garden. It's a stunning place nonetheless. But I wish we could see it as it was in that painting.
