  1. Your home is beautiful and the organization to your outside is beautiful and functional. I love a front door with color and the hints of black elevate the visual appeal. Your raised beds are great and I know you will work out the little kinks 🌻I had a beautiful willow tree with a picnic table underneath and it was used everyday for meals, chats, and pictures; leaving my family with numerous memories. I love “The Girls” maybe over in that area a willow and picnic table would be a fun hideaway to take a break. Your lawn is stunning and I agree nothing as enjoyable as thick soft grass under bare feet 🦶. So very happy for your family to enjoy many years and happy memories 🌷

  2. First year garden soil is absolutely terrible. I just moved and my plants are suffering this year.

  3. Colorado is getting all your rain !!! (some hail… my garden is on my third attempt this year)

  4. I live in Arizona, and maybe you have a nitrogen deficiency, but those plants and all their problems look just like mine when the summer heat kicks in. It was the first thing I thought of when you laid down a black tarp. I didn't want to say anything because we have different zones and climates but I'm pretty sure now. Your roots are cooking. The soil is too hot with the black tarp absorbing all the sun, and there's no way for the heat to escape with the tarp trapping it in. I find I can fix my problems pretty well if I can keep the soil cool. But I'm always ready to be wrong so I purchased blood meal and we'll see how that goes^.^

  5. I think your absolutely right it is Nitrogen, to me even the corn looks too yellow. and I think it will take more than one treatment, good luck

  6. Landscape fabric. You are better off to just mulch to keep the weeds at bay. May need some chelated iron.

  7. Everytime you mention not knowing what you'll do with the previous owner's garden, I see a lovely play area for baby Acre! Just a thought… I love what you and Josh have accomplished with your home and the outside areas.

  8. So I know this is old already and you've already amended your soil by this point, but you can actually tell nutrient deficiency on the potatoes by the wrinkly kind of "bubbly" looking leaves, which you can see in your video here. Just something to keep in mind for the future 🙂

Your yard looks BEAUTIFUL! I hope one day mine can look like that!

  9. Ants shouldn't harm your plants, but they may be more present if you have a lot of aphids. Ants "farm" aphids because of the honeydew they produce when feeding on plants.

  10. You could even construct a pergola for the backyard-patio area so there is more shade and still tasteful scenery for entertaining. (Also provides an additional space for growing things that like to vine!) You truly made a beautiful place and have given me hope that I can do the same when we are in a position to purchase our forever home. Thank you for sharing the process.

  11. SugarGum trees are so hard in a backyard if you want to walk barefoot…they are great trees in a forrest setting away from a house though. The bark can be used as a tooth brush – medicines and salves to cure a variety of ailments, treat wounds and serve as an important ingredient in adhesives. So it's annoying tree, but does have some cool uses 🙂

  12. Aaron & Laura at Garden Answer are having to put key layted iron on a lot of their plants this season, they also use Capt. Jacks Dead Bug for the insects.

  13. This was the CUTEST video into you have ever done!! ❤ I felt like I was right with you outside your front door 💕☺️

  14. Yeah, not the weed fabric. It's the soil. Gald you had it tested. I actually had this happen with soil I purchased in the start of the pandemic. The soil manufacturer was selling it faster than they could make it, so they were hastily making more and selling it before it was mature and balanced. I had to ammend it heavily as well. It stunted my entire garden that I had used it in.

  15. Yellowing can be iron deficiency. If your soil is high Ph it might not be that your soil is deficient, but only that your plants can’t take up the nutrients. You can use chelated iron and/or soil acidifier to help.

  16. I am watching this later but when my cousin had pepper blooms dropping like that it was because it was lacking the P in NPK.. i had her up that and it improved a ton. I would do a liquid fish fertilizer that has a decent N but also a high P… this will allow them to get nutrients faster then the dry fertilizer.

  17. I noticed my garden stunted do to the Chem trails from the planes. The YouTube channel Doug and Stacy speak about the Chem trails.

  18. Yellow leaves are too much water or like you pointed out, lack of nutrients. Peppers grow where its super hot (Mexico, SoCal, AZ, Texas) and DRY. Peppers dont like a lot of water. The corn isnt dark green like it should be. Things look lite green or yellow. Could be the vid. Potatoes dont need many nutrients. Sugar gum is my favorite tree, turns from yellow to gold to purple leaves in fall. I planted them around the edge of the property. Here, We call them Liquid Amber.

  19. This is the slowest year for my garden. No idea why. Everything is stunted. But I had late frosts and cold then non stop rain or 90 degrees. I am not going to overthink it. I had two plants grow twice their size in two days after months of nothing. I will fertilize as normal and see what nature does.

  20. Becky i want to know how you put up your hair and if you get head aches because i do my hair is starting to get real long and i dont want to cut it but i cant take these head aches please respond a friend to your channel Nickie

  21. really love what you have done to your knew property you should be so proud God blesses you ❤ How is your knew member to your family i bet he is growing fast and so cute 🎉congradulations you and yours makes a perfect family wishing you the best ❤️

  22. 31:25 i've seen a lot of reels saying ants are not a pest but once it's overwhelming to you i think it is a pest especially if it's the kind of ants that bite you, kinda hard to do anything around the plants.
And becky dont plant sunflowers in your raised bed along with your crop, i heard it can stump the growth. Grow the sunflower in a designated area or in a pot instead!

  23. You have come a long ways, you have done a beautiful job and all the while with a baby! Fabulous!
