Houseplant care seems intimidating because if you *think* something is wrong, you *will* find an answer to validate your concern – this is called ‘confirmation bias’. If every visible imperfection gets categorized as “something is wrong”, then you will judge yourself as being a bad plant parent.

Instead, one needs to evaluate the plant’s surroundings to see whether anything can/should be done or if the occurrence was inevitable – which means, there was no fault on you. But this means you need a detailed understanding your environmental conditions, which may require some help from an experienced eye.
