This was Great Jake!
Jake, great video as always… Important note: never eat a mushroom from your garden/ wood chips that you can not identify 100%, the last one (white mushroom) that was growing in your garden.. was poisonous (Amanita ocreata family, commonly known as the death angel, destroying angel, angel of death). Remember safety first– my friend.
this is bad ass!!!
hey Jake, awesome mushroom video!! WAAAAY cool!! question on the seedbix program… are the enclosed seeds primarily for hotter climes, like AZ? OR are they varieties that will grow up north in Wisconsin??
I find all mushrooms will lift you to a higher state of consciousness even on the simplest of levels.. dreams will have an uncanny clarity and significance. Excited for you.. :))
I'm looking forward to going to the Phoenix market. I would love to try this as well. As far as the woodchip ones??EEK! I'd be too nervous some of the poisonous ones would come up thru the ground and I ate the wrong ones'. I guess I'll find out more when I go to the next Farmers Market and speak to them. 👍🏼
jake, this is SO cool!!!! i wish we could do all of this here in northern ontario….so excited for spring to get here still
so cool!!!! an Indian grocer offered me a thirty day detox he would concoct each day at his store out of different mushrooms from India for some bacterial issues I've been having…this reminds me that I should really go back and do it…would be a great way to start clearing my life long toxic overload… thanks for this awesome vid! you are great!!!
you can toss a few odds and ends from them and blend it with water. take it and pour it on a pile of wood chips and compost. it'll start growing and composting the wood 🙂
Good journey.. I love growing mushroom. There is nothing like picking a fresh blue oyster and making a sandwich out if it Yummy.
This year I got everything prepared for some own mushrooms in my garden, too !!
Nice 😀
Hopefully we can manage to grow them !!
Good Luck, Jake ! ((=
Hey Jake
Gr8 to see you have Lingzhi (aka Reishi)… I first saw this in the "Three Kingdoms" books Zhu Ge Liang drank tea from them. I got wild ones from Blue Ridge Mtns in NC.
Nice!!!!!
the king mushroom you can cut up the stock like scallops, theres tons of videos on it…
Those mushrooms you grew on your counter are so cool!! I'm very inspired to try it myself! Thank you for all your amazing videos. I am so excited to get going on my garden this year. But we are having a rather cold spring out here in British Columbia. So I only have my seedlings going at the moment.
maybe blue oyster mushrooms!
I LOVE mushrooms but I would be terrified to grow my own, that somehow a poisonous one would get in my bed outside and I'd eat it on accident or something! Lol. I know, irrational fear… Still, love mushrooms!
omg that is so cool. i love your channel!
Thank you for all these videos and your keepup hahah, I appreciate all the knowledge and time. Soon i will be making my own fruit backyard and gardens really haha. Thank you again mr Jake Mace
We just grew blue oysters, (our first time growing at home). Now, we have the fever and are waiting for our next project to arrive an heirloom Portabella kit! Those you shared are stunning! Such a great variety!! WOW! I will have to show my hubby!! Thanks for sharing!
should try grow glow dark mushrooms but those poisons so only want on log by exercise area or out buy pond bring bugs for fish eat. or walk ways. they say you grow rased bed use straw or saw dust and hard peals from wood workers hope and table scrapes done grow musrommes bed get soil in bed when done growing. i would scattered that chunks out over ground so that start spread through walk ways
the top mycologist Paul Stamets does not recommend eating raw mushroom he recommend always cooking all mushrooms
Very cool!
Great video Jake, thanks.
Youd have alot more subscribers if your name wasnt so corny
I grew oyster mushrooms at home and they are excellent…Ever since then, I am doing these regularly…my wife loves them…so do my neighbors who obviously get them free 🙂
thanks so much
I've spend a long time studying how to grow mushrooms then we discovered an awesome resource at gregs mushroom grower (google it if you're interested)
