Hi Ivan, loving the videos and updates, I follow both this channel and your cooking channel. Would you be able to do a video on watering please? I'm worried that I might be over or under watering and with this being my first ever gardening and growing season I'm just concerned that I'm either over watering or not watering enough. I'm feeding every 14 days so I know I'm not over feeling but watering is a different ball game. Thanks x
Thanks
Thanks for the hints and tips, on when to harvest Ivan, as always sound advice. Thanks for sharing.
Another great video thank you Ivan! If I were to plant carrots now out in my beds, would they be for autumn harvest? Not too late?
My 2nd try at carrots seem to be doing well, up high and thinned like you suggested.
The thinnings were good in a soup.
Good tips, as usual, Ivan.
I didn't realize I could just leave the main crop potatoes in the bags even with the green tops cut off for long periods of time. It makes sense and so I am so glad you told us about it. I am growing them in bags so why not leave them in as long as I can to get more storage time out of them?
Another great video. I didn't know you could plant leggy brassicas deeper like that to help support them.
Great timing on the onion harvesting tips, ive been wondering about that. I've got a couple that have stems the size of a coke can so guess they won't be falling over anytime soon and I would have waited and waited til it did. 😂
cheers Ivan 👍🏴🥕🐠
Wow. You think your carrots are close together, you should see mine. But I planted them before coming across your chanel, so I have left them alone.
Lost all my 🍒 to the wind. And my plum tree has been decimated by aphids. 😢😢😢
Working on my videos, but not ready to upload. My daughter just keeps making me laugh.
Great video again. Thanks
Hi I’ve been told to fold over my cauliflower leaves can I use a rhubarb leaf to cover instead cheers Richard
I took a chance and had some Charlotte potatoes in the greenhouse with my tomatoes. Took the Charlottes out today and 2 of the spuds were just showing signs of blight so great timing. Toms look fine so all ok. 🙂
Thanks Ivan, for these great tips and instructions, it all adds to our knowledge. Take care and all the best. Stevie
Brilliant! I was just starting my list of questions on my potatoes….harvested my first 5 gallon bucket of red norlands (early) and was blessed with 12 big egg size and 6 golf ball size. Very pleased. I will wait on remaining 5 buckets while we eat these. Good to know on storage limitation for earlies and ok not to harvest all at once..great presentation as always. Have a super week.
Really informative thanks Ivan, especially about onions beetroot & swede/turnips as I've got all growing. Been a good gardening day today, weather's been lovely, I never know when to come in lol, chucking it down now though 😢
What are your thoughts on giving tomatoes aspirin?
I've been putting 300mg dispersible aspirin in 2 gallons of water and giving to all my nightshades, about once every two weeks.
So far they all look very happy.
Hello Ivan, great video again, thank you. Some really interesting tips. One thing I'm interested in hearing your opinion on is what added nutrients do you add to the compost you use when growing your veg in containers? I've got a full size allotment but I also enjoy growing veg in containers at home. If I reuse any compost, I sieve it then add some more fresh compost and sometimes a sprinkling of blood fish and bone. One thing I've learnt, however, is that too much added nutrients can harm the plants just as not having enough. I'd be interested in your views please. Thank you. Paul

Thank you I didn’t know tomatoes shouldn’t grow near potatoes. I learn something new daily from your videos. I’m fairly new to your channel. ❤
