🥔 Potatoes

Snip off flowers so the plant will send energy into growing the spuds instead of seeds.

🐛 Kale
Cover your brassicas to protect against the cabbage moth caterpillars.

🐌 Slugs
Are you spotting slugs? Yuck. Apply diatomaceous earth, a natural chemical-free solution that really works. It’s super-fine dust that kills by abrading and dehydrating crawling insects and is earthworm-safe.

😋 Basil
It’s pesto time! It’s best to harvest basil cut stems instead of leaves for bushier plants and always pinch off the flowers. Try storing them in a glass with water to keep them fresh.
