I thought my SOT was pretty happy until a couple months ago when I pulled on some vines that weren’t absorbing water and they just came out. I don’t have pictures of those, but it looked like the roots rotted. Now, the vines with the roots still intact are dropping yellowed leaves and are no longer producing new leaves. What am I doing wrong? How can I fix this?

It’s in a small terra cotta pot in bright, indirect light. The soil is a combination of what it came in and Espoma organic potting mix. I used to water it whenever the leaves felt skinny with filtered water and liquid fertilizer, but I recently switched to just filtered water, thinking that maybe it’s over-fertilized.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Only when my plants start singing ‘I’m Thirsty’ in perfect harmony!

Maybe check for mealybugs? I’ve found one or two tiny ones hiding in mine when I found dead strands.

Also, you could try wrapping and pinning some of the strands into the soil so they have more roots holding them in place.
