  1. Oh my life. I sware you were trying your hardest not to laugh when showing your cucumbers 😂😂😂.
That's it. I'm throwing my dummy out of the pram.
Mine have only got 6 leaves on. Maybe I will sacrifice one of them as I do have 3 growing quite close together. Hmmmm
Take a look back at this video. You will see you are trying not to laugh.
    Maria.
I have given up on lettuce aswell.

  2. Thank once again for another good video 📹. So far as like yourself i have been trimming and removing suckers and bottom leaves or all my tomato 🍅 plants some in beds & several in pots. Plue two large pots for my cucumbers touch wood all going ok at the moment. Best regards Tim

  3. This year I tried a new method of saving lettuce perfectly for over a week Ivan .Wash lettuce and pat dry with kitchen roll or salad spinner then line a bowl ,container or bag with two pieces of folded kitchen roll at the bottom then add salad leaves then another piece of kitchen roll, cover with cling film or close bag and pop in fridge.Salad stays wonderfully crispy and fresh for days and days with no browning or soggy leaves .

  4. Love growing lettuce….just been and picked a few leaves and fed to my chickens. They love lettuce so none goes to waste.

  5. Such informative videos I've just acquired a greenhouse and I've got some great tomato plants, peppers and chillies growing lovely. I could do with a vid about feeding 👍

  6. Thanks Ivan. I'm looking forward to the cucumber pickling video as I'm starting to get a lot of them and they are growing faster than we can eat them or give away! The silverskin onions I planted on the back of your previous video have now germinated. I planted a full pack of seeds, about 360 in total, in a very large container after watching you pickle them on your cooking channel. Fingers crossed I'll be following your recipe later in the year. Bearing in mind how many I've planted I'm looking forward to using your blanching tip to peel them. All the best!

  7. Thank you for video Ivan. Good lettuces. I've grown a variety of Cos lettuce called Lobjoits, very tasty but haven't been able to keep up with them. As a result several have bolted, however, I cut them off near the ground, leave the root system in situ and keep watering. Consequently you get a second set of fresh salad leaves. I'm interested in the pickling of cucumber and look forward to seeing your video of that.

  8. We pickled cornichons a few years ago….id like to say they lasted well, but they didnt, purely cos we found every excuse to eat them! Your lettuces look amazing!!
Slugs attacked our broccoli plants overnight,we lost five☹️

  9. 😂😂😂 that made me laugh when you found there were 6!! They look great lettuces though, I’ll do them next year for sure
