What is the peppermint water ratio? Where can I get peppermint oil?
I just recently started my cucumber seeds. I have some time before I'll need to prune but I definitely will. How is the wildfire smoke in Maryland? We're having our 3rd time with it up in Central/northeast Pennsylvania. The second time we had the smoke we couldn't even see this big hill (Mountain? ).about 1.5 miles from the garden.

It's been too cool and too much rain to transplant my cucumber seedlings. My zuchinni and squash transplants have barely grown. So, I direct planted a new zuchinni and will plant new cucumber seeds. There's still time.

Quick question, it's scorching hot here in southeast Texas so I've had a 55% shade cloth over pretty much everything.
Do you think enough sunlight can get in to help prevent PM?
I would think this would also make it easier for the pollinators to get to the flowers.
The leaves and vines that you pruned from the cucumber plants. Will they be going into your compost pile?
I like your method! Keep the leaves getting sun, get rid of ones that aren't or that are yellowing. Simple. So many videos on removing only a certain kind of leaf whether or not that leaf is even helping the plant!
Have you used the Bronners castile soap with peppermint already in it? I wonder if that has enough peppermint or if Iâll need to still add some. I happen to have that kind of soap but havenât used it in the garden before. I did watch your vid on ratios and making the spray. Thanks for the info. đ
Great insights. I already have Bonide All Seasons Horticultural oil that I'm using on Apple Trees to (try and) control Scales. Can I use that in the same way you are suggesting using the Peppermint oil on the Cucumbers? thank you!
This year, I have a chicken issue, I am looking for wingless chickens. I would I have more than double the plants I have now if the chickens had not killed half or more of my plants. Killed one my cucumber plants just couple days ago. Makes me so upset, but nothing I can do to keep them out.
