  1. Watermelon is always a great addition to anyone's garden. I planted mine late but it is starting to get a little bigger. Seems like it took a long time to take off.

  2. Don't think I have the weather for melons but I planted cucamelons for first time this year and notice some forming now. Had thunder and lightning all day and so much rain it's filled my wheelbarrow to the top, scared to look at everything!

  3. Have you noticed any difference to the growth of your plants with different compost brands…I've been using GrowSure and to be honest it's rubbish 😮

  4. I drill containers with my largest high speed steel drill bit, then widen with another drill bit. I found wood bits split the plastic.

  5. Help needed with carrots! My dog had a dig and moved all the carrot seeds together. Now they are growing and I'm worried about disease, etc because they're so close. Should I wait for the actual carrots to start to form before moving them? I worried about damaging the roots. Many thanks

  6. I was thinking of giving the little Sugar Baby melons a go but I’ve run out of room this year so they will have to wait until next year.

  7. I've found that a soldering iron works best. No damage or residue. It's works much faster and also doesn't cost a lot.
