I blanch & freeze kale for soups thru the off season. I’m not having much pest pressure ..my summer garden is still in its seedling stages.. spring plants are happy!
Thanks Gary for your Info ❤
Will neem oil kill squash bugs? Or should I just continue to pick them off and toss them into a bucket of water?
Worst Pest in my garden it Japanese Beetles. The only way I have found to get rid of them is to just go out a few times a day, capture them and crush them. Not sure if anyone has a better idea.
Just want I need today ❤️ it seems every single pest rhe world has to offer lives in the DC area…lol
Thank you!
I need help identifying this tiny pinkish bug, i found a lot today on a tomato plants leaves while I was removing what looks very sick leaves, yellowing with brown crispy corners.
Such good advice to grow wh as t you can manage
I'm battling white flies on cucumbers and tomatoes. I sprayed today with peppermint soap this morning. Its so hot here in Texas and I have to be careful what I use
Thank you for the info! And the common sense advice!
My Rhubarb Swiss Chard……..still just babies……r being eaten like crazy. There r a ton of little flying critters on them when I run my hand over them……they r not white……looks like a fruit fly.
I've sprayed them several times with Neem oil but it's not saving my chard. I didn't have this problem last yr and altho I've searched and watched a lot of videos on pests. I can find very little about pests on chard.
Something is eating them, leaving holes and brown dry spots throughout the leaves but yet all I see is those little insects flying out of them. I'm new to growing and I don't know what they r even called.
No sure if it was mentioned on ur video today but, can leaf miners be that tiny and fly?
Thank you, I'm learning so much from ur videos. 😊
Thank you! This was excellent. Looking forward to Mondays!
Another great video! Gary I was wandering in Ohio we have had a week of rain, and cloudness, could I spray my melons with H2O2
to prevent fungus and mildrew?
Off topic.. i like the microscope inset. It is less disruptive than adding b roll in the middle.
Lygus is my particular pest for the past 2 years
Loved this; such great information
My crops have been infested with black flies/black aphids .
Any suggestions would be grateful appreciated on how to deal with them
I'm right there with you this season, focused on production of fewer plants, learning new plants and best use of space that I have. Love your channel, I've learned Soo much and I really appreciate it! ❤
In 8b its been 105+. Pest, critters and heat beat me this year. I'm just doing my last harvest and pulling everything out and cutting my loses. Looking forward to Aug/sept planting. I'm going to try disease resistant hybrid tomatoe seeds next year to see if they make a difference.
I harvest everything, prep it and freezing it. I have very little waste luckily.
