Purchased these strawberries in the pot and the tag specifically said they can remain in the pot but wouldn't they benefit from a larger space?

Purchased these strawberries in the pot and the tag specifically said they can remain in the pot but wouldn’t they benefit from a larger space?


They’re very happy now but sometimes a runner will go outside the pot and doesn’t have anywhere to go but down into the garden. I suppose I could still bury the runner but wouldn’t be able to move the pot for a while then. When I did try to transplant one it died immediately.

    Use the runners to plant elsewhere, and leave those there.
