This is where i get anxious 🫣
Why did the potatos get blite anyway? I mean fgs life is hard enough as it is 😂
Thanks, I hope I don't need it!
My roses are covered in it I had no idea what it was until I saw your potatoes yesterday 😬😬 huge flower bushes all in a row plastererd in it and I'm growing vegetables on the other side of the garden. What a nightmare
Thanks Ivan, always worth knowing. Thanks for sharing.
hardwood ash and water to make a lye is the best treatment . just don't make it to strong and your plant roots will love it
Thank you Iveb , bloody poured it down though it was needed x
I have blight in my legumes at the moment (different fungal infection to the one that effects night shades). I usually treat with a liquid copper spray, but it's winter here and we are getting showers every day, so i haven't had any opportunity to apply it. Blight is such a pain ! 😡
Sounds like a mixture for red mite on my chillis i just squish
good job good idea, your spray is all about the PH. Bugs will help spread disease from plant to plant so i try to control my bugs ..You all have a good day…………….
Blight is very challeging, but don't under estimate the carnage it can produce. The current weather we are experiencing in Ireland & the UK is a real magnet for blight, humid, warm & wet conditions. Years ago we would have sprayed our potatoes with a copper based solution. Because they are a main crop here, sometimes it is difficult to stick with organic methods when faced with a possible wipe out of your crop. Where blight is concerned, prevention is the only approach, because once the infection is in just 1 leaf it will go through everything like a bunch of locusts. We watch the forecast closely, & always in advance, of course it isn't always accurate but we get an idea & the minute we see the 1st mention of humid the boys start to spray, after the 1st application it is then a weekly ritual. I plant a few varieties in containers, tyres tbh at the house, but we have just under an acre, of Kerrs pinks & queens set at millies. We try to stay organic, but, with the current weather I do not think that is going to be possible. Bayer garden produce a product Potato Blight Control, whilst the ingredients may not be ideal it is successful in preventing blight if you spray on time.
Good info👍👍🇺🇸🙏
Great video! If your plants have blight, you get rid of the foliage, but can you reuse the soil?
Thanks onnce again for very useful info
