Thanks Ivan l know what to look out for now, I’m going to check my potatoes.
Nice little harvest. It's time for me to see what I have as the plants are dying rapidly.
Yes that's early blight ,Ive chopped off all foliage but hve left the tubers in to form skins .
Thank goodness you caught it early Ivan, and you got a nice harvest.
So sorry you had blight on the potatoes Ivan. Thank you for showing us what to look out for. Hope you enjoy the harvest of potatoes. Thanks for sharing.
I thought it was too early for blight, could it be rust? I've just googled it and it brought up some similar images to yours. worth a thought, or maybe I'm clutching at straws lol
Shame, but a little is better than nothing, thanks for the heads up about blite …
this makes me realise I know very little about early blight, I'll look close at some of mine that are dying down earlier than expected so this is a good warning, I do know with late blight you can compost the foliage the pathogen can't survive on dead material only living plants, it can survive on tubers but not dead leaves / stems, but I don't know anything about the lifecycle of early blight will be interesting to read
glad you got something out of it at least, thanks for showing us what to look for. my 2nd earlies have some brown/yellow parts on edges of a few leaves and im panicking but theres none of the spots on the leaves, they just dont look like they are doing too well though and ive put it down to the fierce heat but will be watching them constantly now!

Praying I don't get it 🤞To be honest I don't even know when mine are meant to be ready and can't remember what they are 😅 I really need to label things.
Hi, do you get rid of soil as well?
My first lot of potatoes were brought in for dinner last night, they were beautiful! I can't thank you enough for these warnings and advice.
Thanks Ivan, it's a shame that the plants had blight but, every cloud as they say, at least it wasn't a total disaster and those little spuds look nice. Take care and all the best. Stevie
Hi Ivan , great update , I am a bit worried about my potatoes too , ihave a 6×3 raised bed half Charlotte's and half red Duke of York both put in on 23/3 but my Charlotte's leaves are a very yellow and brown some have totally gone but my red Duke of Yorkshire are fine still green , no flowers on either and after watching your update I'm a bit worried any advice gratefully received from 👍
What about the compost, is it infected now ?
Great advice mate, there's loads of gardeners who'd persevere with those spuds and end up disappointed.
Thanks for that Ivan- in 40+ years of growing veg I've never seen blight, and that's shown me something to look out for
Hey man
Just subscribed, good stuff mate 👏
Glad u told me about the blight would never of known thanks for the update Ivan
🌈💚🍀
Stacks of great advice, thank you!
As they say here in NI them plants are "tatty bread." Thanks for that never grown spuds before, but I've spread them around the garden in 3 separate places, just in case. Happy you have at least a feed out of them.
Oh dear. I wish I could send a picture of mine. I think I am starting with the same problem. But not sure.
Enjoy listening to you Ivan you make it look nice and easy , I’ll be checking so far mine look ok ,, from a number x

Thanks for that Ivan, really useful to know how to spot blight before it gets to everything
I know now what to look for, thank you.
I was curious and dug up a few potatoes yesterday, little russets and a red but no yukons yet in a mixed potato bin.
Wow that's a brilliant little early harvest 👊
Thankyou I've never seen this, at least now I know what to watch for.
hi ivan do you have to get rid of the compost as well.iv got 5 ,buckets of potatoes which look like they've got blight .cheers.
