πŸ•΅οΈβ€β™‚οΈ WHO AM I?:
My name is Matt Estlea, I’m a 26 year old Woodworker from Basingstoke in England and my aim is to make your woodworking less s***.

I come from 5 years tuition at Rycotewood Furniture Centre with a further 1 year working as an Artist in Residence at the Sylva Foundation, which is where I began growing my business. I then returned to Rycotewood to teach Evening Classes for 2 Years, while also teaching City and Guilds Furniture Making for 3 years. They were some long 12 hour days!

In September, 2021. I resigned from teaching at the school to focus on my own business.

  1. Great shop Matt. Best of luck moving forward. Can you provide details on your chop saw stop? I'm interested to know if your glass piece has any adjustment to fine tune to ensure proper sizing?

  2. Oh Matt. Iv got to be honest your new workshop looks like a dream to me. Id give anything to have a workshop like that where i can simply let my creativity fly. I did like how you included dropping the screws, that made me laugh so hard because most all of us have done it at some point in our lifes. Im glad to see you smiling again Matt, you have worked soooo hard over the past 5 years. You deserve a rest. So please STOP, put the kettle on a take 5 mins to reflect on the past and realise how far you have come and what you achieved. You one of my biggest inspirations Matt and i dream of being as good as you and the other of my inspirational woodworkers one days.

I leave you be now Matt as i know your a busy man, just knows as a viewer, fan and a fellow woodworker its an honor to watch your videos.

    Take care Matt

    Keith

  3. Great to see you are back to your positive, get shit done, persevering self. Best of luck. The new workshop is a thing of beauty.

  4. The first half of the https://www.youtube.com/post/Ugkx3ICSK6nSknaL_45CU2NmFSoXjarGMDiJ book is everything about wood: types, tools, finishes, setting up shop etc. The second half is all about doing projects for inside and outside of the home. The color pictures are helpful. After reading a dozen of these types of books, this is probably the best overall (layout, color photos, plans). Only detraction is that many of the projects use a table saw/router/planer, which are usually expensive and take up space, so the plans are less friendly to newcomers and the budget conscious. But I know I can use a drill, circular saw or a jigsaw to make the projects.

  5. Awsome Matt, first I follow your work on YouTube for a long time now, from your first videos from woodworking school…. It is nice to see how much you have progress. Its not easy work, as I have YouTube channel on woodturning but watching your journey is so inspiring.

    Thank you sir
