Two days of picking with 5+ gallons, made the ones I didn’t eat into 2.5 gallons of juice for making pies and jelly.

To those who haven’t done it, my second favorite application of them (after eating from the cane) is cobbler. This is the basic recipe, Can be used with any fruit but raspberry, blackberry, and peach are my favorites.

Recipe:
Batter—
1c sugar
1c self rising flour (white lily is best)
1c milk

1c juice or 2c berries
1 stick butter

Melt/ brown butter in a baking dish. Mix batter. Pour batter into hot butter. Add fruit. You can sprinkle sugar (raw sugar works well) about 10m before done. Usually go 35-45m, but until brown is the key.

What do others do with them? Any favorite uses?

I dehydrate some, crush them, before running them through a seive. What you’re left with is blackberry dust, which, when properly stored, can be used to flavor all kinds of baked goods and/or drinks.
