Okay I have a confession to make I'm 65 years old and in a couple months I will be getting my very first tattoo, 🥳 I'm so excited
I remember being mildly surprised when I saw your full sleeve about 2 or three videos in maybe 5 or so years ago at this point, and then not thinking about it again unless you pointed it out. I was raised very conservative and was told by a Sunday school teacher that tattoos were wrong because our bodies are temples of the holy spirit. But then I read in revelation how Jesus had things written on him. Tattoos are still not for me but I hardly notice them anymore on others.
I think it might be a generational thing. Even myself as a gen X it wasn't real common for people to have tattoos growing up. And definitely not for boomers. Unless you were military or a biker, etc… now it's much more acceptable. Even as a nurse visible tattoos were a NO NO! Now they are OK as long as it's not on your face/neck.
i always wonder when one gets a tattoo do you wonder what it will look like when your body changes years from now? i think they look great and im sure they tell a life of stories.
Ans the ONLY tattoo I would even think about getting would be my kids birth month flowers. So ties in gardening with my babies ❤
Since I’ve acquired a lifestyle value to avoid toxins and support how the body functions, the tattoo stuff makes no sense to me.
Skin is my largest organ and value how it helps support my health.
I still value people of all colors😉

That’s a good rule for a bookstore! Both of your books are sitting on my shelf and will not be leaving this home for a thrift store at any time.
I have one tattoo being young with tight skin they are beautiful but as you wrinkle not so much. My biggest concern is the toxicity of the ink in my body. I try to. E healthy so putting ink as a foreign substance would work against me.

I really enjoyed that you shared getting a tattoo. That is something that I never judged a person by, but found interesting what people felt so strongly about to permanently display. It's all about personal choice. Thanks for showing how it is done. I guess you will have a while to think about what colors your flowers will be filled with. I hope its graduated colors for realism. I always thought it was a painfull process, but you seemed okay.

On another note …I'm a 50+yr old with no tattoos who COMPLETELY LOVES your tattoos and have always described you to my friends as the coolest homesteader with beautiful tatts. 😉. I've always thought it maybe made you even more relevant rather …never that you got backlash🙄🙄. People🫤

I struggled and still struggle with tattoos. I am a Christian and was raised that tattoos were wrong. Two years ago I had an idea for a very meaningful tattoo and decided to get one. I regretted getting it the first day thinking I just had done something very wrong. It took me a while to get over the opinions of others and what I grew up believing. Now I kind of want to get another tattoo a very meaningful one to me but I still struggle is this pleasing to God. Ultimately I think God is more concerned about your heart, your salvation and how you love one another the an image on your skin. I’d love to hear more of your take on that.

Got my first tattoo at 60 to honor my sister who passed at 57 from cancer . Her nickname was tweety bird . So guess what I got !
I think your tattoos are pretty! I don't have a problem with tattoos. My only concern with tattoos is the heavy metals that are in inks.
