It’s DONE! Enjoy the journey as we complete this multi-video/day project. Team effort and hard work have paid off.

I’ve always enjoyed working with natural materials such as flagstone and fieldstone. They have a way of making the landscape fell more welcoming and natural…like a garden.
~
Every landscape aspect I install has to accentuate the existing landscape characters at play. As soon as an addition to a landscape is a neutral addition and does not bolster the beauty of the surrounding aspects…it’s time to re-think.

I can’t wait till we initiate the next edible landscape!

  1. I don't click notif bell because I just don't. Then I got worried and thought, "hey, what's happening to my Gardenguy?" Turns out I've missed a ton. Good job, btw.

  2. Looking fabulous! That really brings balance to her yard. A couple things (you probably already know this) on certain flagstones if you seal them with a. Clear coat it extends its life. Definitely gives it a sheet but also curtails the weather washing away sandstone… when we landscaped our front yard in May, we have flagstone from the sidewalk to the concrete patio. Half cuts through dirt (DG) and the other half is placed in grass. Our landscape contractors were collaborating with me and were laying the stones vertically to the front door. I had then turn them horizontally to make a wider path, and it gave a cleaner more solid look. Just ideas to tuck away in your file cabinet. ….. your garden is growing so well!!! 🌱

  4. Oh my goodness – that is just beautiful!!! It looks like a path that would lend itself well to my cottage garden dreams! Great job! Both of you! It looks sort of like putting together a puzzle – a very HEAVY puzzle at that! Did you compact the first layer of soil or just remove the sod carefully? Thanks for sharing your expertise!

  5. Absolutely beautiful! The way you guys were able to fit the flagstone into each other. Love the large piece that naturally fit the curve of the path! And pineapple sage! Nothing better.

  6. Does the "Jonah Plant" over winter in the hoop house?😄 There's something about being well rooted for the winter to come. Blessings to you both.
