GM Kaye!!
Omg….I had NO idea! Look at that liquid. God given……Thank you!
I also make tea with Wild prickly Lettuce and it controls sinuses also. I sprinkle on food for pain. I make a tea to relax and dry up sinuses! 💕
Good morning smart and beautiful, another great video from a beautiful great person, GOD BLESS your precious loving heart 😇🌹🦋🐞🐝
Last year I had a huge wild lettuce in my garden. By the time it flowered, it had to be 7-8' tall, and almost as wide, with many branches. I was so excited to harvest it, but disappointed because it had hardly any sap. I dehydrated a bunch of leaves, but it felt like a fail. Then I moved to the Ozarks, where I'm building in several acres. I'll try again this year, and this time I'll make a tincture. I need to order that book!
Your cats are having too much fun in your beautiful yard/garden!!😺😻
Kaye what is the name of the liquid you used please Ed
Good morning my Angel voice in my phone. 7am here. I have always found that an early start gives one comfort while getting chores done. Sometimes B4 sunrise. The case for me today. Mid 80's forcast here. The cockpit of my vessel has been prepped. Backup anchor ready to deploy, life vests cleaned & checked, boat ladder inspected & hung, vinyl skiff cleaned & pumped & boat #'s reapplied. A couple things more & I can enjoy the rest of my day bobbing on the water. Till our next "viz" keep smiling. All your goodness shows from that smile.
I have a lot growing and have left it to go to seed. I look forward to seeing if it will help my pain.
There was a time when women who played in the weeds would be labeled a witch. Thank goodness society has left those days behind. God's glory is in all that He has created! We have been blessed in so many ways, and yet have forgotten or neglected to even notice His gifts. Perhaps it's a wee bit too early to pick that one plant? Maybe there's a harvest point to pick to get the most sap? You did say something about the flower … It gets frustrating when the critters get there first! LOL
Hello there dearest kaye and kits,.very exciting to have z new film, xxxi will comment after i have watched, xxalways thumbs up for kaye, 😊
Wonderful and helpful video! Thank you! Last year I allowed two prickly lettuce plants in my yard go to seed. This year my whole backyard is full! I'm pulling out the majority and allowing about 10 to 20 plants grow so I can harvest. I'm going to tincture and dry and milk some.
Good Morning Kaye – Have not heard about the medicinal uses of wild lettuce and look forward to seeing the flower it produces. I wonder if the tincture would be stronger/weaker in a full grown plant vs an immature one or if harvesting after it flowers would impact the strength and benefits. Love your cats frolicking in the gardens without a care in the world. Have a blessed week..
You are so brave and so bold I am so excited that I found your channel! I found wild lettuce growing on my grandmother's property and I knew it could be turned into a tincher for pain and I'm so grateful that you made this thank you!
I wanted to learn about this. Thank you.
I have been looking for the plant on my property.
Excellent video, my friend! I've got some wild lettuce growing in my main chicken pen and need to try this. I'm getting ready to make some more vanilla extract, so I'll be buying vodka anyway. Perfect timing!
Glad I saw this video because it reminded me of something I can use for pain from spondylolisthesis. I live in an urban area so it's not too likely I'll be finding any wild lettuce in particular. However, I can buy the seeds online and grow the plants, or purchase any of a number of tinctures or other preparations. What I would like to know though is if I am making my own tincture, after it's been setting and shaken for 4 weeks, do I just pour off the liquid and save it and discard the rest? I also wonder how it is that something like alcohol can be enhancing and not destroy the chemical qualities of a plant.
Last year I found one wild lettuce. This year there are a dozen give or take. I tried to make a salve out of last year's but, it didn't turn out well. So this round I will make a tincture. Thanks Kaye. You just filled in the gaps in my knowledge base. Four mullein plants so far too. I also appreciate the chuckle I had at your expense during the taste test. Have a wonder filled day fair lady.
I wonder if it would work to put some of the tincture on a joint. Some of them work internally AND externally. It would be a good experiment.
I’ve been using wild lettuce for years, it grows abundantly in my yard. No bad affects ever and never need large amounts. I have so much this year I’m going to try making resin out of it. If I get a back twinge or headache while working in the garden I will grab a small leaf chew it and swallow 10 minutes no pain. Just an FYI alcohol tinctures are good for 20 years. Non-alcoholic tinctures are good 3-5 years.
I have Stephen Harrod Buhner’s book “Herbal Antivirals” and plan to get his other book “Herbal Antibiotics”. Thanks for sharing!!!💚👏
I came home from work yesterday with two liters of vodka! I’m ready to try making some this weekend. I have bought several herbs from Frontier Co-Op. Wondering if anyone commenting has used Wild Lettuce for pain. I have chronic hip bursitis. I’ve been on Meloxicam for a while. I stopped a week ago and started using Boswellia extract. Thinking about adding Collagen type II.
Got a lot of yarrow so I can’t wait for that video!
Thank you for sharing!
