Who is Garden State Tortoise?

However you made it here, thank you and welcome to Garden State Tortoise. Garden State Tortoise is home to hundreds of animals from all around the world. We are a family dedicated to adventure, conservation of wildlife, and all things nature. We are a reptile rescue and breeding facility for more than ten years, offering refuge to those who need it, and working everyday to protect the beautiful world of reptiles in any way we can. Here on our YouTube channel you will be able to join us on our animal adventures while learning how to care for, protect, properly identify, feed and even breed many species of turtle, tortoise, snake and lizard. We even work with frogs and salamanders! We hope you enjoy our videos and help us share them with the world so we can continue to educate people of all ages about herpetology.

  1. ❤ I have my Boxie in a large hamster cage.
When it rains I cover it w a barbecue cover as it has no drainage.
    Tootsie is snug & safe.
Hopefully I’ll have her perminent home built soon ❤

  2. I just have one baby sulcata and I have a question I have read a lot that they need a whole lot of room to roam and dig is the average size backyard okay for just one once it gets bigger

  3. I have a suggestion for a short can you how to tell if you female turtle or tortise has eggs and is ready to lay soon

  4. A raised bed garden with baby turtles or tortoises, how could anything be cuter?❤

  5. Is this the same one from the longer video? Or is it another? Either way love them!

  6. Just make sure they can get out of the sun to regulate their temperature if it gets too hot. I lost a Russian tortoise years ago due to an improper set up (completely my fault) the sun shifted and when I went to check on him it was too late. Substrate wasn't deep enough for him to completely burrow. I should have had a dedicated shady area. I've been hesitant to do another outdoor setup ever since, even though the natural light is best.

  7. Too close to that deck stairway. Predators can easily reach in from there! Just sayin'
