Here are the basics on the early pruning of your tomato plants. Begin removing the bottom leaves, identify and remove tomato suckers, and begin spraying aspirin spray. I go over the tomato aspirin spray recipe and show you how to spray it on plants.

  2. Your plants looks beautiful. Thank you so very for all this information especially about the aspirin. I didn't know this part in maintenance and helping my tomatoes.
I always recommend your channel. I enjoy they way you explain and teach.

  3. Hi Gary! Is the mulch you’re using there a combination of grass clippings and shredded hardwood? I have a pile of partially composted shredded cedar mulch. I was thinking of using that for my mulch this year. Thanks!

  4. Heard determinant tomatoes not designed to be pruned.
If suckers already growing option to stunt off and leave leaf.
Suckers at bottom risk breaking off with fruit weight .
I usually pick off some flowers leave a few

  5. Hello fellow growers, mr. Gary sir.. i have used 1 pint of v8( low sodium) mixed with 5 gallons of rain water, started this in 1st week of may. .just did second treatment…and that will be it for the next 2 months. So far so good. And always test first.
Did this last year with about 4 plants. Good results. Now i have used it more through out. Happy growing

  6. No matter how many times you explain the treatment with aspirin and
With hydrogen, I really enjoy it. I can't wait for the dawn to spray tomatoes. It rains every day here. Greetings from Serbia.

  7. Could you do a video about the actual rotation we need to be on for the sprays? I realize everyone's garden is different, but between aspirin, hydrogen peroxide and the others, I need to be spraying my plants constantly? I'm concerned about overdoing it and hurting my plants. Thanks.

  8. I’m growing two Homestead tomato plants on your recommendation. So far they’re doing great! I’m hoping they’ll be great for canning/sauces.

  9. Sadly, aspirin did more harm than good in my zone last summer.
All my tomatoe plants I gave aspirin to got infections and died, while one's I forgot to did good. Before that year I never gave aspirin (first time to experiment) and had good crops (I’ve been gardening for 15 years).
So I'd advise anyone in hotter dryer climates from spraying with aspirin and just worry about getting your plants' roots in deep and encourage your predatory insects into your garden..

  10. Thank you Gary for your time and effort.
I watch most of your videos. Like this one you have said follow me and watch the progress of …
For some reason it seems hard to follow the same plants I was wondering if perhaps a playlist for h2o2 or baking soda would make it easier for your videos to get the big picture all in one place
    Thank you

  11. Is it ok to use the aspirin spray on determinate tomato plants? Also, should any of the lower leaves of the determinate plant be pruned? Thanks.

  12. It looks like you pruned a Homestead tomato as if it were indeterminate. You've referred to it as semi-determinate and it is listed as determinate on websites, so thus far I've kept all the production stems except for the lowest ones (to create the gap). Should I prune it like an indeterminate?

  13. Do you notice that the leaves become tougher? I have that with my determinate tomatoes after applying the aspirin.

  14. Great pruning video. I’ve some doubts on the aspirin trick though. Search on aspirin tomato myth for other info.
