Thanks for showing new transplants. Mine look the same. ❤
1st here you have very nice garden, and your channel is very informative.
Hey Gary… It rained all day yesterday and all my beans erupted in rust. They're only about 6" tall. Should I yank them and reseed?
My apple trees did the same. I’m in central VA
The sparrows ate the foliage off my pea plants this spring so bad I had to net them. They’ve started blooming since but I didn’t realize sparrows loved pea shoots so much.
Gary, what brand cold frame do you have on your sunken bed? Thanks
Thanks for info about pepper plants, I was getting worried.
Oh no!! My sunflowers are right next to some of my tomatoes.
Those weeds you plan to spray are English Violets, virtually impossible to get rid off. Curious how chemical spraying will work.
I have rabbits eating my tomatoes., watermelons, and cucumbers 😢 just came back in from spraying them with liquid fence 🤞🏻
One thing I love about your video tour is "it's real life" and not some "picture perfect" garden space. I pruned the lower leaves on the stem of my tomato plants yesterday in anticipation of rain today and the leaves are still on the ground. I might throw them in the compost or I might mow them over next time I cut the grass.
How many tomatoes are in that pot together?
Wow! Amazing! What zone are you in? A tip from the orchards of California. Prop up your tree branches with wood to help carry the load.
I watched a woman's video and she has a large amount of property maybe like 25 30 acres. She said she specifically plants beans or was it cow peas? next to sunflowers. She intersperses them so that the beans can crawl up the sunflower
But aren't we supposed to get rid of leaves with leaf rot or fungus rather then letting them decompose next to the plant?
I just harvested out my beets; the golden beets did the best. I eat both the tops and roots. It is getting hot here in Alabama, so I made a final harvest of my snow peas. The heat was getting to them and they were quickly dying off. I'll replant with English peas mid August. I took a second cut of Japanese Giant Red Mustard today, and invited my sister-in-lay and neighbor to get more Swiss Chard. I have enough to last me the rest of the year. I'm resting a lot of raised bed space until fall planting time. I picked my first cucumbers today, and they were free of pickleworms. Yeah! My squash, tomatoes, herbs, peppers, and strawberries ere all doing well. My Italian and Cinnamon Basil are ready to trim down, and dehydrate. I'm starting to plan my fall garden.
This is a little late for your garden but I have been using recycled billboard tarp on the aisles of my garden then covering with wood chips. Weeds do grow but they are so much easier to pull up
Greenstalks are where’s it at 💯. Absolutely love mine (all 4 of them lol) and the company is fantastic!
Gary what do you treat for slugs / snails? I can’t find your video on the subject
Thx great tour again
Awesome strawberry crop!! Gary, and anyone who might read this…please give me feed back. And as always,…happy growing to all!! So, I'm not sure how many people this might help , but I have a fish pond …4× 6 about 2 .5 ' deep. Now, when I say pond …most people think of a green body of water …and I understand. My pond water is fish tank clarity. When it warms I can put Molly's and some other aquarium fish in. And it's all l a good filter system not chemicals. Point is…I used about 6 plants, 3 pepper, 2 tomato,..and one of my broccoli plants as an experiment. I have an in pond filter and I clean it 1 time every week…warmer temps..2×
Here is the good part. I started cleaning out the filter mesh..( 3 levels of medium) each one with smaller pores until it ends with a polishing pad. Anyways…. I started rinsing my filter pads into a
bucket. It's all fish waste and algae..even some fish food that made it past the fish. I started watering those selected plants with that water.
All of those plants …compared to to the plants where I just use water and fertilizer..(Neptune's, and miracle grow)
There is a difference!! The pond filter water is supercharging the experimental plants well beyond anything I could have hoped for.
I think you're supposed to take off at least half of the fruit. I lost a young peach tree once, it was so weighted down, it practically split the trunk in two.
