has anyone ever showed up to your house to check your plant count? lol
with the vermiculite vs perlite, i feel like both, i've heard people using vermiculite for mushroom containers, in the bottom for humidity, i feel like it absorbs more water, and like atomizes it in its slow release, i feel like you want those air pockets form the perlite, it almost hydrophopic, but the like slow release in the dry end, but you need the wicking from the coco coir. they'll both float if you run a reservoir with fish tank pumps, help with evaporation. if you don't run a reservoir, you might want even more water retention, from like the goopy compost, or like earthworm or fish castings, or other microbes idk how earthworms do with perlite, to try and fix an area outside that isn't draining well, i mean they tunnel, them in themselves probably help with drainage outside.
In China they found a couple centuries old buckwheat seeds wrapped in charcoal still viable,🦧

I only grow autos and I've had some tiny ones and some enormous ones. Genetics, genetics genetics. I just harvested a huge Bruce banner from Herbie's US direct. The 20 twenty Mendocino I have coming up will dwarf the banner. Try 20 Twenty and go hard on the LST. I've been getting 12 to 18 equal sized tops. Pull her horizontal ASAP then pull all the tops out to the sides. Wish I could share pictures.
As a homegrower I would just press the whole nugs to test extraction percent.
Fluffy nugs are better for washing, but denser nugs are better for whole nug press since there's less surface area to apply the pressure.

I learned from Dr. Bugbee to use Vermiculite and your plant will get silica from the vermiculite when used in right amounts..

Every fastbuds autoflower i've grown has been huge. I wasnt happy about it at first because I had a mars hydro ts600 and figured I could get by with a small autoflower. I was wrong lol. You can't control the size of an autoflower. Some can easily outgrow the environment. Mephisto and nightowl tend to be half the size, more in line with the expectations of an autoflower.
If I pop a few seeds and then keep them in veg . I can clone them and then see what they r without losing the main plant right? Coz a cut grows different to a seed u have planted. Am I right or wrong here

1'm in 100% perlite, all depends on how you grow to what's best for you.

Autos are garbage. The only people who like them are seed companies and the people getting a kickback from handouts. Ive got photoperiod plants that are YEARS old and i know exactly what to expect when taking cuttings from the mother plants….

Storing seeds is important. I had some seeds back 10 years ago and I threw them in a bag in my basement and after a couple years they were all duds from high humidity. The humidity is important. Cool dry and dark is what you want.

I like to utilize cloning when pheno running. I'll take clones from each plant. Connoisseur through the plants. Make a division on what boy has the best structure, and reproduction, and the female, the overall qualities your looking for. I'm in F6 IBL with a CandyPop strain I've created.
There's a big difference between auto and photo. Autos are crossbred with the hemp plant drastically affects size taste potency and yes you can taste the difference between green and purp You can also taste the difference between a photo and an auto could feel the differences as well.
Wear a mask when mixing perlite.
female seeds no other way to go for me. I like question an answer session with three only good things can happen for us. Autos yes they are temperamental environment has to be on & watering

Pigeon has a messed up way of thinking about auto flowers , apparently he doesn’t know how to grow them. I get huge , terp filled buds on mine. I also have many friends that have awesome autos. Get good genetics

Adding vermiculite to coco defeats the purpose of growing in coco.
The difference between green and purple is chlorophyll content. Purple bud has more anthracian ( what makes berrys and grap😅their purplish hue.

guys i am starting to lean towards pumice instead of using perlite or vermiculite. gives the microbes somewhere to live and thrive while giving the soil the aeration it needs. just my humble opinion based on info i have gathered thus far.
I'm actually experimenting with what you called feminized breeding. I have contacted specific breeders asking for permission to experiment, with no avail. Should I continue? Quit? I understand the views of those who use others cultivars, so I want to run it properly, the same way Jinx did.
