The fascinating aspects of this garden was the seamless integration of technology and sustainability into what at first glance appears to a well designed and pretty garden/outdoor entertaining space. .
The yellow and grey color palette helped to create a positive and joyful sense of place. A step over running water feature helped to muffle city noise pollution and provided habitat for fish to create waste to feed an edible garden on the pavilion walls. It also provides opportunities for hydroponic growing. Plants were chosen for their ability to help remove pollutants from city air and combined in a naturalistic way within the geometric structure of the garden itself. .
The garden won an RHS Silver-Gilt award.
