You can live a long time without food, but not very long without clean water. That’s why we picked up a VEVOR water distiller. This is going to be a great addition to our ability to make sure we have clean water on hand at all times. You can also use this beautiful unit to make Essential Oils and Alcohol for consumption or disinfection. Check out their link below. If this is something you may be interested in. Also, let me know what you use distilled water for.

  1. Good morning sister Jill. We are so happy your ohana invested a distiller. We all have to invest in ourselves to create our own infrastructure and supply chain to become self-reliant as possible. The distiller is one of three sources we use to collect water. If you use hot water to start with, distiller will process in fast time. We have used ours for over 10 years and still going. to add minerals back we add a pinch of (Himalayan salt or sea salt). We keep 6 gallons on a metro-rack in dinning room, rotating the 1 gallon jugs as we use them. I also canned a case of the distilled H2o, to keep sterilized water on hand for rinsing wounds as part of our medical supplies. We were able to cruise the "Alaskan Vortex" and onward to the present. We had peace of mind when all the towns around were issued "boil water" notices from there authorities because they lost power to the treatment plants and pipe breakage. We were good to go in Bedford.

To many times the authorities have waited to long to issue warnings. Invest in yourself friends. Sorry Jill, didn't mean to type out a paragraph.

  2. They always say destilled water has no minerals. But In A radiation situation it will leave the heavy metals behind and radiation.

  3. What residue if any is left behind in the processing container? Scale? And is 3:30 the fastest for a max capacity?

  4. I have an older vevor distiller. I have EXTREME hard water. This machine has been a real trooper.

  5. It's sort of cool….never know when I come see ya if we're going shopping or planting watermelons. Always good stuff. Appreciate you sharing. Jesus bless.

  6. Great idea!! I love distilled water. Hubby needs it for his bi-pap machine and I like using it for almost everything. This will take us away from having to buy it by the gallon.

  7. I wondered if you could taste a difference before & after? Sad that we have to filter out fluorine & chlorine, then add good minerals & electrolytes ourselves. 🙁

  8. Thanks. Good info. We have an extensive filtering system for our well that is removing all minerals and vitamins, so I will take your advice in adding back some minerals.

  9. We use a reverse osmosis unit for our daily drinking water, but I have been wanting to get something for distilling water. Mostly for use when I am making herbal remedies and wine. I routinely add jars of RO water to any canning loads I have room in, just to keep sterile water on hand for medical uses. You never know when you'll need it. Going to talk to Hubs about getting one of the distillers, because I trust your opinion of it. Thanks for sharing! Hugs.

  10. My sister up north bought one–loves it. Now I'm going to get one to distill water for sinus rinse.

  11. Very interesting. During the winter we use a lot of distilled water for our humidifier in the bedroom and also use distilled water for our hardwood floor steamer. I can see multiple uses for something like this. Thanks for sharing!
