I have a flowering horseradish that is my earliest bunch of blooms and edible flower stalks. Haven’t even used the root yet, but love the early flowers for food, bees, and using the leaves to chop and drop around the beds. I also love using biennial planting to get the benefit of a perennial and movability of annuals. I keep rolling parsley, bloody dock and chives through my garden plots.
Good tips and I’m spending lots of time in the garden – just got a bench yesterday, and plan to set up a processing table next to my outdoor spigot soon. My goal is to have as little lawn and as much garden as possible!
I currently have my edibles far from my patio/fireplace. I want to start integrating seating space and gardening more. I’m glad for the ideas in this video.
Thank you again Huw for ANOTHER great video. I worked my garden this morning, came in and enjoyed my afternoon garden porn (Huw). I have a floating deck however, I'm loving that covered bench! And, btw, my garden is a No Phone Zone!!!! Peace, quiet, harmony and ❤. THX! Huw. You're appreciated. HSTL zone 6!

Got to agree with you on the fire pit, one of my favourite things is sitting around a fire with family and friends 👍and a few beers of course 🍻

Myohmy! Did I just see you work an old school scythe in there!? 😮😊 Well impressed! 👍
I can’t wait to get a fire pit! I would love one at the allotment but it’s against our allotment rules unfortunately but I completely understand!

Letting things flower is a great idea. So many vegetable and herb plants have attractive flowers, and pollinators love them.
How does the grass not grow up into the raised beds ??
Beautiful Huw. Those whiskey barrels rot really quickly though and they are a real pain to replace.
