  2. I’m bringing tomato plants to my grandmother today for her container garden. Also going to give her some basil seeds

  3. I am a small woman, so I limit my fabric pots to 7 gallons to keep them manageable for me to move as needed. I keep them all on a timed drip system to manage our hot Dallas summers. All of this is on my back deck.

  4. I love the flowers around the bottom of that tower planter! Thanks for the idea, I need all the pollination I can get.

  5. Gary, QUESTION: we tried self wicking 5 gallon buckets this season for our brassicas, they look incredible I have them under shade cloth. When do you know when to pick your cabbage broccoli and cauliflower how big should the head be?

  6. I have to hand water everything. No hose option. I had 50 gallons bags. Had to down size to 30/20 gallon. I couldn't keep the soil moist enough and plants died. It keep drying out. Smaller for my situation worked better.

  7. Cool vid. Yeah im pulling potatoes out of my bag and start peppers. Im in zone7 by Cali Kim

  8. I'm trying a green stalk for the first time this season and I have mostly strawberries in it. I'm just north of you outside philly in 6b/7a. Do you think my strawberries will survive the winter without having any leaves or mulch covering them? I was thinking of getting one of those covers they sell.

  9. Always a great video from you Gary👍 Longtime subscriber, not sure if I seen a full length watering video, I'm assuming it's all hand water, I never see or hear you say anything about using drippers or any auto water systems.

  10. I just transplanted my pepper seedlings into my pepper Greenstalk tower, Hungarian Yellow Wax, Etudia, Jimmy Nordello, Lipstick, and Corona Di' Toro. I have few open pockets that I will be filling with dwarf zinnias (Thumbelina). I also uppotted my tomato seedlings, and need to purchase 5 more tomato cages to keep Angel from digging up the seedlings when I transplant them. I'm harvesting a lot of lettuce, tatsoi, New Zealand spinach, Swiss Chard, kale, and snow peas. I harvested 8.5 pounds of Swiss Chard yesterday (2nd harvest). I have enough to last until fall. My sister in law is coming to visit Tuesday. Surprise! I have at least 8 more pounds of Swiss Chard that needs to be harvested, and it is all for her. Maybe I can convince her to take some spinach home with her too. The New Zealand Spinach is taking over one half of the raised bed. I need to cut cut it back. It is heat tolerant and will contiue to grow until frost. My squash is flowering, and a few of my Straight 8 cucumbners are starting to flower too. I am allso growing Lemon Cuke, and National pickling. This year's garden is super productive! It is killing last year's garden, and I was extremely pleased with it. Last year, I was thinking that I may have to add one more raised bed. This year, I have two raised beds that are largely empty. They are covered with a layer of chopped up leaves from last fall. I'll plant in them late summer for the fall garden, turnips in one, lettuce and beetroot in the other. Pretty soon I will have to start planning my fall garden. Asian greens, Swiss Chard, Hilton Cabbage, Late Nagaski Cabbage, maybe Navone Gold Rutabegas, and my winter tomato experiment are definetely on the list. I want fresh picked tomatoes in December and January. LOL

  11. Just ordered a Green stalk. Hope it gets here by Memorial Day, my lettuce can't wait much longer.

  12. It would be fun to watch you make your chive vinegar and subsequent salad dressing! I love it when you show us how you prepare and consume what you grow. Love your channel so much! Thank you for your content!
