  1. I love your ideas for the back yard area. Bermuda can look very thick and lush. However, I really like how you used the bricks, flagstones and your beloved gravel for your charming front yard patio. I would love to see that repeated in your backyard. Sooo beautiful!! 😊

  2. Linda i have idea for backyard , build a deck off back of house , put dinning table and chairs there instead of grass so dont have to move to cut freeing up that space for plants. put purgola top on deck so you can hang light over dinning table and hand baskets of ferns all around the edge . then on railling put flower boxs fill like in front all around edge, you could put a screen on street side for privacy , to match fence or roll down bamboo shade. on other side you could have a fireplace or bbq station. on top you could put clear plastic panels ubove door area to keep out rain. on ground you you surround the edge with boxwoods . i think this would look fab.

  3. I want to see the inside! Also, I love your outdoor glass table! Can’t wait to see what you do. You and your house are adorable .

  4. Linda, you never mention it when you are in the backyard but what about the giant trees along the fence line. Will you be keeping those, why do they have such long trunks, just what is the deal with those??

  5. Ok Linda here is an idea. Take out all the grass in your back yard and do a space with the fake grass you had at the other house. You can build a step up terrace and have large slate steps to the table. Behind you can plant all your trees, bushes and flowers. This way you have the green under your table, you won’t have to cut or water. As we get old we have to make our yards beautiful but easy on our bodies. I would also put the trellis on the garage wall and put white climbing roses. Any other color won’t look good due to the brick color. It will give it a soft French Country feel as well. I have been doing landscape design for 45 years. Also a small water feature to hear the water would be great. You won’t want to leave the back yard. It will be like no other back yard in the neighborhood. Also adding large rocks will incorporate natural elements. Happy Gardening! ❤

  6. I'm SO pleased that I saw your extra post on Sunday? Monday? I immediately ordered a Cranberry Creek boxwood as I need to replace one and when I went to the site a day later they were Out-Of-Stock!

  7. Oh no! Too hard question I love the garden to bits but I really like your beautiful home designs, so really looking forward to Sunday's vlog. ❤

  8. Oh we all know a house and it’s garden is never “completed”. It is fun to watch all your ideas come together.

  9. Kayla sending u good energy to heal quickly.
Linda great ideas on the side & backyard. 😊

  10. Did you build your fence? Was it short like your original fence at your former home that you added height to?

  11. Linda please forgive a non gardening question ..
Do you still use activated charcoal teeth whitening powder? If so how often do you use it?

  12. 🌼🌼🏵🏵GOODMORNING 🏵🏵🌼🌼 Linda and Stewart ,Im more interested in your BACK Yard..hahahahaha,,,,,,,,seen the others..the inside of the house doesn't really interest me as much as your transformation of the yard. Why not put a little cement wall along the brick wall INSTEAD if a piece of metal ? It would mimic the base of your house foundation and the little cement Curb already there going into the backyard..??? just a thought..Have a GREAT Day

  13. Hi Linda I would put a white rose called iceberg to grow against your red brick wall it will be striking against the red,David Austin grows this rose you can get it as a climber. Ps I live in England and have been to his nursery.❤

  14. I am greatly enjoying watching you transforming your cottage on the hill. I anxiously await each new episode. One thing I thnk would be really nice, if you could accommodate it , is with each new vidio you start, or finish, with maybe a 30 second or so shot from your front yard sidewalk or curb so we can watch the garden as a whole slowly maturing. Like we're driving by in a car maybe. I think that would be so fun.

  15. You are such an inspiration! I am redoing overgrown landscaping, something I have wanted to do since moving in 3 years ago. Got my delivery of 18 plants (includes 3-15 gallon Crepe Myrtles and 1-15 gallon Chinese Fringe tree) today, rip out of the old and installation of the new is scheduled for Tuesday. So exciting!

  16. My Cranberry Creek buxus were just delivered. They are gorgeous, healthy and I am so pleased with them. Thank you for the recommendation. They are going to be a beautiful addition to my front yard.

  17. Loving your front and back yard videos but I would love to see the inside finished!

  18. Hi Linda, you said that you had some Leyland Cypress on the side of your house, are they the dwarf version ?

  19. After so many front yard videos, an interior tour would be a fresh-treat; looking forward to see the updates you have made inside!

  20. I'm eager to see the softness in your backyard like you had in your previous garden with the nandinas.

  21. So excited you mentioned your #moongarden area. It's my project to build one this year. I was able to find a booklet on them on Amazon and the weather has finally broken in NE Ohio. If you've done a segment about moon or night gardens please tell us where to find it! 🌕🎑🪴

  22. Tis the season for all things outdoors! I'm loving all the garden talk. The egg shape dinning area sounds beautiful. I'll be a bit jealous if you can make the grass under dinning area work. The gnats in NW Indiana would make it almost impossible to have a seating area in grass. Looking forward to your reveals.

  23. Linda, thank you for being aware of how fortunate and blessed you are. Your gratitude is heartwarming! Happy Mother’s Day! Enjoy your beautiful family! 🌻🌷🌸🌼💐

  24. I would love low growing gardenias maybe 3 to 4 ft. Could you recommend some gardenias that would take full sun. I’m in zone 8 and my house face the west with morning and evening sun and very hot. I don’t have any shade tress. I would like add gardenias and bonfire azaleas together.

  25. Wow you don't know where to look next. The gardens are magical. Have a great Mother s Day. On to the next…project can't wait to see everything in bloom.

  26. Makes absolute perfect sense to hold off on planting backyard til fall.
From a fellow heat sufferer in the south. Lord just give me a pool🙏

  27. I love that we get to see your gardens in various states of development. I was feeling bad that I've been slow this year getting my gardens looking really attractive. But it's a dose of reality to see that we all work on organizing, pruning, watering, weeding, etc. Glad to know it's not just me!!! : )

  28. Since we are working our front and back yards, I am following your front and back design ideas. However if you are getting along inside, it too is a joy to see! I’m so excited to see you every day! Sending thoughts to Kayla! ❤
