  2. Hey Gary you're a very intelligent gardener. Ive been watching you for years. I would like to know if I can direct sew my long cucumber seeds in my 25 gal. Grow bag or is it to late???

  3. Do you have a favorite cuke? I really can't tell the difference between the varieties other than bush-or-not

  4. Hi Gary, always direct sow my cukes, zukes and beans simple and cheap matter of fact just did this morning. Learnt a lot from you no expensive fancy stuff😊zone seven New Jersey garden state🌻🐞🦋

  5. Gary — Love your channel. I transplanted 3 zucchini plants into my raised bed, and when I came out the next day every single leaf — every bit of green — was gone down to the soil level. I have 3' fencing around the bed. I'm clueless as to what ate them. We don't have deer, but we do have lots of squirrels and birds. Could it be one of those? Surely bugs couldn't do that in one night, could they?

  6. Love it I was feeding my stuff a day or 2 ago and was wondering how much of the water soluble fertilizer you give when the plants are already established and growing. Thanks as always.

  7. Just put in a new cattle panel arched trellis for my cucumbers and to trellis my sweet potato vines. I like to pre germinate my squash, melon and cucumber seeds in either Lactic acid bacteria or worm casting extract. I makes for really good germination and takes the guess work out of how many plants you end up with.
    Enjoy your videos, Stay Well!!!

  8. I am planning to direct sow cubes and string beans this month. Glad I stumbled on this video. Thanks Gary!

  9. This has to be my most favorite time of the year. Setting up the veggie garden. Planting seeds and nurturing food to eat from the ground. Thanks Gary, for all your encouragement and videos of advice.🥕🌽🥬🥦🍆🌶️🫑🧅🥔🍓🫐🍉☀️👍

  10. This year I am coplanting cukes and pole beans with dill on each short side of my bed just because i want a larger variety of things and choices. Not sure if it will work. I am going to be trying to keep the cuke trimmed hard. Wish me luck.

  11. How do I become a member and get help from you? I have red clay in my perennial flower bed but I’d like to learn how to improve all the soil other than the “holes” I gave them. I want to plant more thing but afraid of disturbing their roots. I have plenty of other questions I want to have your help on!

  12. Gary, I started watching your channel in 2020 when I lost my job during the pandemic. I didn’t know what to do with my time. Then I saw you as well as Cali Kim and others. I started gardening in my little rooftop space, in containers, and it has been amazing. Thanks for putting out such good content and keeping me going.

  13. I start most of my seeds inside. Once I transplant them outside in grow bags/pots they turn yellow. My tomatoes, peppers and eggplant leaves are yellow. What could it be? I'm careful not to overwater (I'm heavy handed) to the point they are also welting. Any suggestions on what I can do? They are fruiting. But don't have that lush green color. I'm in 8b Texas.
