  1. I highly recommend pineapple sage. It is amazing! Delicious in water and the flowers are gorgeous. The flavor is nothing like regular sage. Last year it got really large in my Greenstalk vertical planter. It is a must grow for me now every year; too bad it’s only perennial in the upper zones. I’m zone 6b.

  2. I was recently introduced to Greek Basil. I was at Lowes over the weekend and a greek woman was picking through the herbs. She asked me if I would help her look for the Greek Basil, the ones she found were really weak looking. We had no luck. I picked one up and smelled it, Anise. I said, oh it smells like Anise, Licorice. She said yes but it doesnt taste like it. She really couldn't give me a flavor that I could understand. She said it tastes delicious on a tomato salad. She doesnt really cook with it but she buys it for her husband because he likes the way it looks as a plant. She ended up buying a couple regular basil plants and said she will find something that she can do with it. I suggested Italian lemonade. I told her to take a couple basil leaves with ice, bruise the leaves and add your lemonade. Delicious. Have you tried Greek Basil? It is a pretty plant, just not at my Lowes…….

  3. what rodents/pest do you get up on your higher elevated garden?
Birds on your blueberries, Olympic high jumping rabbits snatching your veggies, squirrels squirreling your garden, insects, etc….?

  4. Mojito mint was a fav of mine last year! If I remember correctly the chocolate mint I found after Mother’s Day! You got me hooked on all the mints last year for tea! I’ll keep searching down here in Peoria! Planning a Chicago trip in June, will checkout some of your favorite garden centers up there!
