We had a wind storm come in last night, very little rain. We had no warning other than a thunderstorm watch. The storm never went into a severe thunderstorm warning, and it should have. keep your eye on the sky today!

  1. One street over from us they had some trees go down. One fell on some power lines and we were without power until well after midnight. Thank God for solar. We didn't get a warning either. I was out in our back yard when the wind hit. It was a bad wind. At first I thought a small tornado was coming but it was just straightline winds. Never did hear the siren go off. It must have come out of nowhere. When the first real gust hit I got it full in the face. Felt like I was eating half of West Texas. LOL Going out now to check my plants.

  2. What a beautiful mulberry tree. I love berries. Anyway, glad you folks are alright. If I didn't know better, it looked like a tropical storm coming in up there. I woke up with giant blasts of thunder and loads of lightning. Although it did move on pretty quickly. No damage. Thanks for the report…always want to know how you guys made it through storms. Jesus bless.

  3. Glad you are ok. We had a weather watch but didn't get any adverse weather last night but we're supposed to get thunder storms tonight.

  4. Those looked like Oklahoma winds! 😉 usually when they lay plants like corn almost down, the sun will help them stand back up but if they break plants, there’s nothing to be done. Like you, we’ll take the rains but pray to have nothing severe.

  5. I thought the same thing as I was unwinding my shade cloth from the barbed wire fence this morning … I was only partially finished with getting it put up yesterday and had to run my husband to pick up a car … when I got home I thought yikes this could be bad !
Well gratefully I didn’t loose any plants or fruit , but today has been crazy trying to get everything braced for another possibility of severe storms . God bless y’all and May the Lord cover and protect us all ♥️

  6. It looks like we have mulberry trees around our community that no one knows what they are. I might try to pick some berries 😋
    Stay safe Jill.

  7. I need to change the oil on my car, I am 71, doing it myself, weather said rain coming so I haven't done it, now tomorrow is Sunday, I have to do it as Monday I will be on the road a lot…Has been very dark, and formidable here in Cleburne, Texas all day long…..Wind has been scary at times…Praying for my tomato plants in grow bags out in front of my apartment….Looks tornado like at times in the clouds…

  8. Which direction are the long sides of your greenhouse facing? We're just about to set up a small one in the garden area. Glad you made it. Praying tonight goes well.

  9. I lost five of my meat birds in the storm last night. Rain blew in on all sides and inundated my coop with water. The little ones got wet and blasted with wind. The roof and three sides are covered and it still got swamped.😔 BUT, our greenhouse and quail and meat bird pens stayed put; God is great all the time.❤🙏🏻

  10. Whoa! You did get some crazy strong winds. So glad you have the high tunnels to protect your crops. One less thing to worry about. All calm at my house, some wind but more of a strong breeze and not a drop of rain.
