  1. Im hype that Woolie gets to try one of the funnest series of my GBA days! I started at BN3 but i was a huge fan of the series when the anime came to the US.

  2. i know this is sponsered but i lowkey hope Woolei comes back ot the battle network series at soem point in the future

  3. 4:13 fun fact woolie, the Battlenetwork series is almsotl iterally an alternate timelien where Dr. Light and Wily looked more into programming instead of robotixs (if htat makes sense), where as all the other gamesi n the fracthise are all parto f oen timeline, the battlenetwork and starforce series are their own different timeline

  4. 34:50 The trying not so descriptive chips for the first time experience
42:50 Definitely my favorite version of the ACDC town theme btw., this harmonizing line right here on that square wave-ish sound in the mids is so interesting. 44:10 It's probably fine, if their pants are polishing it instead of scratching it up I bet they're designed entirely around this one slide. 48:18 And this would be my favorite track from the whole series right here.

  5. Please, we need this… Reggie's and your LP style and attention to detail would do these titles great justice! Plus, you enjoy tactical card games, fighting games, you like Saturday morning cartoons and you're great at LPing RPGs. A match made in heaven!

  6. If you want to get Into the online battling you're going to want to play battle network 6 to completion. It by far has the best combat obviously because it's the last game.

I also recommend Gregar over falzar

  7. Battle Network 3 White was where I started the series as well. It was so different and I loved it for it. I was waiting for the moment when it would get the evolution treatment like how it went from classic to X series but it never really happened. Ya we got Zero but that was in the Gamecube game which I never played.

  8. I always thought Bass Exe woulda been an awesome and creative addition to a MvC roster.

  9. So I'm playing the first game rn and I do hope they fixed the translations in these games at least a little. I know the first one has pretty bad ones lol

  10. Wow I didn't know there was a way to have chips used first. It's also funny how Lan still has school and lessons when by this point he's saved the world and numerous other achievements.

  11. Man I know the mass effect series on here isn't doing as well as other pkaythtoughs at this point, but dammit I'm invested! Its such a bummer to see it get chosen to be dropped every so often for another series

  12. I bought this game for PlayStation 4 and switch the day it launched. My junior year is when the battle network series began but these games are so amazing.

  13. I'm gonna wait for price drop I got skyward sword for 60 instead. Game looks awesome though.

  14. Damn, this was such a big part of my childhood. Giving me all that warm fuzzies.

  15. Ive been waiting for this collection for years. As i go to start the first screen i couldnt press the button down and just started bawling. Ive spent so many hours in these games man

  16. my theory is the battle net series is back in time when humans were dominant but before the age of robotics, the android megaman was made off the megaman.exe program and the wiley from battlenet one is an ancestor of the X wiley, eventually we see humanity go more and more toward extinction through x to the zx timeline

  17. Coming back to your channel after having a hard time getting back into you guys since my 3 weird dad's split up 😅 checked this out on stream and it was a good time. Love ya Wools thanks for the DMC5 series as well even though it's like 4 years old as I recently got into the games because of you guys.

  18. It's a shame these games aren't viewer-friendly enough to get full playthroughs, I'd love to see Woolie and Pat kicking each others' asses with endgame builds

  19. People say that MM Battle Network is a direct split from regular Mega Man, but I'm not so sure.

Battle Network has made up countries and continents, while Mega Man 4 features the soviet union, and Mega Man 5 features a world tournament with real countries.

Still, the idea that the entire fate of the human race hinges on Dr.Light not wearing a condom is just too funny.

  20. So glad to see you are playing these games, they're fascinating.

Also, despite the weird-ass npc designs they are all really charming, and way more expressive in other material like the anime and manga.

Of all the characters, the most memorable for me is Yai, because her navi's the only Mega Man Legends character (Glide, from MML2) and she herself is a minor character in MML2, sorta.

  21. Man, now THIS is nostalgic! I got a copy of this game on a CD back in middle school, back when I didn’t even know English, of the original game. It crashed more often than not but I still had fun before it eventually would always crash and never advance farther. But battles were fun since all I knew back then was, like, Pokemon. Good times!

  22. I wouldn't mind a full playthrough but I know that is a lot. Thanks for reminding me how good these are.

  23. This is on Steam?? Wow Battle Network is popular again.
I loved the Battle Network series as a kid, and you started with my personal favorite. I got both on switch and decided to play in chronological order to get the story fleshed out more and beat the first game…it is not as fun as 3, lol

  24. Between Thousand Year Door and this, and Max discovering Mario 64 for the first time, it's so great to see new people enjoying games I've loved for decades.

I remember Nintendo Power doing a feature on the first game when I was in 9th grade that really hooked me. I thought the designs were so slick, and the gameplay was really satisfying. I still have my old GBA carts, but I'm looking forward to getting it again on my Switch.

  25. It hits different when this is the megaman you grew up with 😅

  26. Did anyone shoot Dirge's Battle Network videos to Woolie? His videos are a great showcase of the creativity that the combat system can allow for.

  27. A funny story involving Battle Network's designs is how they wanted the Net Navis to look as cybernetic as possible, so they avoided giving them stuff like hair or cloth (and even when they did, they made it look artificial). When they got to Bass, however, they thought he was missing something, so somebody suggested giving him a cape and it worked so well that they let it slide.

  28. God I want this collection so bad… But 60 bucks is a bit to much for gameboy games imo.

  29. It took me this long to realise "Den City" is "density". I feel like meaning has vanished, even if temporarily.
