Hi there. I started my poor morning glories too early. I am still learning by trial and error. It’s not bright enough inside and too cold outside for at least another month (they want to be above 45 degF and my lows are about 39, highs in the 55-65F range for the dangerous pre summer period). In order to help them make it outside I purchased a really cheap temporary green house. **I know you get what you pay for** but I am moving in an indefinite period of time and really don’t even have the space to use even this greenhouse now, I just got permission from my landlord to do it temporarily. Someday I plan to learn more and build something nice but at the moment I am not getting into greenhouses, I’m just trying to save some plants.

**My question for you all is advice on ventilation**. Cut vents in the top and keep the flap zipped open slightly? Poke holes for vents in the top and same thing with the flap? Open the flap for midday and close it around 5 to store heat for overnight?

I am reading 76 degrees F and 40 percent humidity right now, but I have read that absence of ventilation can kill your plants. I would really like to avoid it as I am really trying to save the poor things from my mistake already. Any help is greatly appreciated by myself and my Glorias (and their symbiotic fungi)

  1. Take advantage of Amazon return while the window is still open IMO

  2. If you are really committed to the project you can get an inkbird temp controller, connect to a fan, and point it out the door.

You could add a garden cane horizontally attached to the frame with a couple of bits of wire a bit above the bottom of the frame, then unzip the door and wrap it around the cane to leave an air gap.

Just roll up the sides when it’s hot out and roll down at night.
