  1. Wouldn’t it be better just to direct sow sunflower’s? Always what I did instead of wasting compost and taking up more space…lol that’s what I noticed with uk garderners you guys hardly ever direct sow into the ground. But hey if it works it works! 💯💯👍

  2. Started some dwarf green bush beans about 6 weeks ago , germinated well but are still just long leggy stems with no other growth , have you a suggestion on feeding as I realise now I started too soon and too cold to pot on outside , as only have very small unseated unventilated greenhouse have grown them inside the house so may be lack of light ?

  3. I've never sown in modules, Ivan, except for artichoke seeds from my daughter's plant. I counted 8 yesterday on the plants.
I have lettuce and borage, greens, too, direct sown recently. I will try spinach in modules since I didn't do well sowing directly in pots.

  4. Hi Ivan, when moving plants to bigger pots is it ok to mix compost with a good strong manure rather than plant food or a bit of both? Thanks. Barry

  5. Thanks Ivan, for this great update and I'll be doing the same with my lettuces soon then sowing some of a different type. Take care and all the best. Stevie
