In this video we are building a new small wooden raised bed for growing vegetables. The growing area is only 5.5 x 2.0 ft but we’ll be filling it with a variety of different vegetables to demonstrate that you don’t need a large space to have an abundance of homegrown food.

How exciting! Your first veggie garden in your new place. It really does look good and will do the job. Can't wait to see how it progresses during the season. My hubby created a couple of raised beds for me out of wood. Painted them black and planted with roses, bulbs, and daylilies. They are still hanging in there!
I think my garden could do with some raised beds as my soil is heavy clay and gets waterlogged at certain times of the year. I was impressed with your d.i.y. skills Paul and the results of your handy work fits in great where you've put it. My family are always saying that I have too many bags of spare compost piled up in the garage but us gardeners know how much is needed and I could see how much your raised bed took. By the way, I love the little butterfly fluttering around in the rockery. xxx
