When planting tomatoes, if the plants are big enough I strip most of the leaves off, leaving only the top sprig of leaves. Then I dig a shallow trench and place each plant on its side. Leave the small top uncovered. I usually add a hand full of slow-release fertilizer. The whole part underground will turn to roots. After season when digging them up you will see the whole part buried is all roots. Better for it to get water and nutrients. 🍅🍅🍅 One very hot year my plants were over 7 ft high.
I missed the tree planting season but will make it in the fall/spring. Got apple trees I was two sick to put them in pots. Their from a 150 year old tree your garden looks very nice. Mr Byrd would be proud
Love the drone shots…looks spectacular!…I'm in love with the grounds…what an amazing job you have done with revitalizing this lovely old farm…keep up the great work…
Robert… I’m enjoying these videos with Miss Vicki. I am learning so much about organic gardening. Thanks for sharing. She should consider starting her own youtube channel.😊
Great video, Robert. Ms Vicky is sure putting her time in. What a friend she is. Can't wait to see the garden in full bloom later. Also, more drone videos please. Really helps us understand the progress and layout of everything.
Really enjoying the gardening!! So much wonderful information. Really Love Miss Vickie!!! You are doing an incredible job with the farm. Cant wait to see the garden grow!
Hey Robert!… I've a suggestion…. once the tomato plants take root then seed "basil" under them. The tomato plants will help prevent the basil from sunburn and what's better than a tomato and basil pasta or salad? – jfm
Robert, you have accomplished so much on the farm. It is really looking fantastic. I had to double take when I saw the neighbor's horses in their pasture. It wasn't that long ago you had a wisteria jungle blocking that view.
There's an eagerness and excitement to your voice that's fun to hear. Farming seems to agree with you. Have you checked the swamp where the tractor kept getting stuck? Is it still soggy or drying out? Your selections of music is a perfect accompaniment to the video.
Great video. I have enjoyed watching the progress and process of laying out the garden with your new advisor, Ms Vickie. And the music and closing of this video was very restful and soothing too. It has been fun to watch as your focus and priorities there in the farm have changed, Robert. Yours is the second UTube channel videos I ever watched. The first is Primitive Homes with Anne and her cousin Mel in Mass. Now I follow Aaron as well. You have accomplished so much in such a short time. I am enjoying the ride. Thank you… Hugs from Cullman, Al
You have made SO much progress over the last year. It will be nice to get the outside taken care of so you can get at the inside. I'm sure you've been waiting for the rain to stop so you can get to things on the inside. You've been hard at it!
what a great set of gardens! could not believe the size of the tubers you were pulling out of the ground and you said you did 3 loads! that tractor does so much to get everything done . how is the “muck zone” is it drying out? is it any better? the new roof just jumps out at you being so white! great job ! barry
Robert, I Google Earthed your property. The image was a while back and you can't see anything but trees and woods!. What a difference it is now. What are your plans for all those Tomatoes and other veggies? Cheers, Rik Spector

Wait one second ! You put the " Garden " in the place " The Other Robert " was planning to park his R V so he could rest after doing his video work .
Can’t wait to see an original photo before any work started and what you have now. It’s got to be shocking and amazing.
Is Vicki available for consultation? She knows her trade!!.

I like my solitude gardening – it doesn't have to be a group effort.

I love that she's a Vicki! Im a Vicki, and was a Master Gardener in Virginia! Love watching you plant your beautiful garden!
Robert the farm looks wonderful. Can't wait till things start to grow
What was that non-wisteria stuff? Omagosh 😳😳
I love your willingness and open mind to try things.
Just looked up smilax – lots of it for sale, everything from a tincture to a small tree.
If you left the green leafy bit up, then you planted them right.

May I ask why you put the garden right next to the road? I hope the neighbors don't feel free to help themselves when the garden comes off.

Hate smilex
The Phoenix rises from the Westeria
wonderful
What are you going to do with all those vegetables when they grow?
little confused of her accent it could be mild Irish or canadian maritime with a hint of cape breton nova scotia, or the rock(newfoundland)

Bravo to you both!
Are you ever going to do more house stuff, tired of seeing more land scape videos
