  1. It's so difficult to restrain oneself when shopping for plants.
The other day, I went to a garden center for the express purpose of getting compost. I'm dividing rhubarb and want to add lots of compost.
I just had to look at their meager selection of plants (our avg last frost date is at least a few weeks away). I came home with a box of plants! I got most of them planted in their new containers. But I can't put them outside until Tuesday when it's safe.
Designing containers is my passion. Many plants will be swapped out as our temps rise.
Nemesia. Linda, that's a great low-maintenance annual that comes in lots of colors. I've got several 6-pks. in assorted colors I'll upsize until I can plant them in the ground.
    Happy planting!

  2. Wow I thought our plant prices had gone up but £2.75 for a begonia seems reasonable. Loved watching you shopping 😊

  3. I loved plant shopping with you! Those moths are fascinating. I saw them here in Iowa last summer, and thought one was a hummingbird ar first.

  4. I would love to send you some rain. It won´t stop here – I want to go out in my garden. But nature really needs the water, so I have to take it as well. 😅 Love from Germany

  5. Can’t wait to see your window bow planted up Linda. I’m in the UK and I notice lots of plants have different names here. What is Milkweed? Is there a UK name for it? I would love some for my garden here in Hertfordshire as the butterflies love it.

  6. 📌 *Nice video!! love how you take your time to educate your viewers. Stop wasting time and money on things that doesn't matter invest it so u can have multiple streams of income*😮😮

  7. The milkweed is a host plant for the Monarch caterpillar. Let them eat the plant. It will grow back. Watch for a Chrysalis and then the butterfly.

  8. Watching to learn about tough heat tolerant annuals. 5 years in Albuquerque and I’m still trying. Is pot heat tolerant and does it attract pollinators?😂

  9. 🦋 Hey Stewart 👋 You're right about the Milkweed. Not only does it host all sorts of pollinators, but it is the ONLY plant that can host monarch caterpillars. A single caterpillar can munch a singular milkweed to the ground in no time, so it's recommended to plant in mass for the most positive impact since their populations are endangered. Although not in Linda's typical color pallet, it would compliment the yellow & purple perennials quite well. I promise, the show of monarchs will charm you as did the stunning hummingbird moths! 🥰 All the love 🌿 PS- I'm tempted to got meet you and Kayla for that iced tea and planting party! So fun- cannot wait to see!!!

  10. Linda has such cool people around her; Stewart, Kayla, Monica and I bet “hubs” is a cool guy!

  11. Enjoyed your shopping adventure and your thought process so much. I was wondering if you will be adding any Gaura to you garden for the pollinators? ( or have you already) I think it’s such a beautiful addition to a cottage garden. 💕

  12. Have thoroughly enjoyed the window box. Including shopping with you at the nursery. The lavender topiaries were gorgeous at the nursery. 💜💜💜

  13. Oh my gosh…..I cracked up when Stewart said "You're popping wheelies over there" LOL…Stewart has a great sense of humor.

  14. I loved the Supertunias I planted last year. But I am definitely a Perennial girl. I bought my first BOXWOODS for my beds because of your influence. Always adding to the garden… I love all of the great plant sales around Oklahoma.

  15. It is so hard to find the Diamond Frost Euphorbia. I had to order mine from Proven Winners and they deliver next week.

  16. When I was at the grocery store yesterday and saw an expensive braided hibiscus tree, your words came back to me when you said, " I will not deprive myself…" when it comes to a plant that inspires me. So I bought it! No regrets!

  17. I love milkweed it is beautiful in the garden that the man pointed out. It does very well in a dry year ❤

  18. Love your garden buddy Kayla and her sunglasses!!!😎 Kayla my dear, whose fly sunglasses are you rocking? ❤🌞

  19. Two videos ago you showed a sign on your front lawn that said that your yard is sponsored by Southern Living. Just wondering what that means. Is Southern Living covering all the cost for your yard – plants, building materials, labor etc. Are you employed by Southern Living? Perhaps you have disclosed this before putting up the sign and I missed it. Your window-box is going to look so beautiful – looking forward to seeing the results!

  20. Love the accent of the worker guy!!! gotta love southern accents, y'all are calming

  21. Love Stewart asking questions so we learn more about the plants. Looking forward to the window box all planted up.

  22. Think it would be lovely of you to invite Kayla to sit and watch you plant up the window box.she’s put a big effort into building it,she clearly respects you and it would be a very nice gesture….just saying 😮

  23. Have you considered a "self watering system" for the window box, such as Gardener's Supply offers?

  24. Milk weeds white drippings are poisonous, make sure to wash hands after you touch this plant and it’s white secreations.

  25. I just love Stewart… his comments and spontaneity really add to the enjoyment of watching these videos. 😁 I like his detour…'alright you all we've left Linda to look at these' 😂. So sweet he wants us to see everything!
Hi dear Linda from Martinsville! Looking
forward to seeing the flower box filled!

  26. I'd love to know the prices of things there. I caught the price if the Dragonwinged begonias but I couldn't be sure of the pot size. Also, those large moths…I would think they'd be a pest in the garden. Yes/No?

  27. Kayla, You have certainly explained why we are all watching LV! We want to watch what she is always designing and all the changes she makes midstream. I've been known to take a note or two while watching.

  28. I loved this! Thank you for bringing us along to plant shop. So fun! And Kayla at the end was such a sweetheart.

  29. Linda I love your channel! I truly miss your wardrobe breakdown at the end of each episode! You always look adorable and so put together!
