This video was a long time coming…I’m finally sharing my updated plans for the front yard from a patterns level of design. I’m talking about designing for access, privacy, shade, water, as well as my personal desires for this space, all from a permaculture perspective.
I’m going for what I call a permaculture cottage garden with a hidden garden room. I’m inspired by forest garden and food forest design but I also love the colourful flowers of cottage gardens so we’re blending the two.
We’re not talking about plant design or guilds just yet in this video… that’s the next level of zooming in and I’m not quite there yet.

Thank you! Learned a lot. Garden/landscape design isn't something I see enough of and as I'm trying to convert my lawn into more of an edible landscape, these kind of videos will really help me plan it!
