  1. All the potatoes that have had partial shade in pots or garden are massive. Those in full sun light are tiny. Full light 10-15cm tall , partial 60-70cm . The ones in the garden flowered way faster. And the pots i put 3 seed potatoes in are better looking than those with 2. I just hope I've not over watered them , done them most days. All plants look healthy , excited to see what they do . I found your channel excellent with good information 👌

  2. Hey Ivan! Sorry to see your main crop potatoes are not holding up till your usual harvest time; however, glad to see with a preview from the box harvest that y'all will probably get some good tatars!🙂
    Nice haul of potatoes!👍
Stay cool…stop playing in the heat.🙂

  3. Sorry you had to harvest the potato container early Ivan, nearly 4 pounds not bad, hope you don't have to harvest anything else early, fingers crossed for you. Thanks for the update.

  4. Hi mate just subscribed been watching a few months. I'm in UK too, Pudsey in Leeds, it was 107f in my greenhouse today and I had to keep spraying with cold water. Madness

  5. Thanks Ivan for a great update on this record breaking hot day, from what looked like a disaster it looks like a nice harvest from a small container. Take care and all the best. Stevie

  6. Sorry to ask looked on big seed sites can't find ( cannonball cabbage) can I ask where did you buy yours from the weather never seen anything like it my broccoli and cauliflower have blown 😠 thanks for your time 👍👍👍👍

  7. Not a bad haul, all said and done imagine what they would have been if September harvesting was an option. But better than nought 👍👍. My potatoes were not as good as in the past but they were too hot in the pots I guess as soil was bone dry. Looks like some changes are going to have to be made next year to accommodate Mother Nature. Have a great week stay cool 🐝 safe

  8. I've planted Kondor (amongst others) in 30 ltr containers, I'm really hoping me watering every day in this near tropical weather is going to give good results, the odd one is dying back, I've really got itchy gloves wanting to empty one out and see what they are like! I also did Ratte, had some decent first earlies from them. 😀That does sound like a Yorkshire accent?

  9. that is a nice harvest. I would take them. I harvested 3 containers today and got maybe a pound . my potatoes aren't doing so good but like you I will take whatever I get. our weather has been crazy too here in central Pennsylvania. finally got some rain after about 3 weeks so I don't have to water the garden for a couple of days. I replanted those 4 containers so we shall see what I get. hopefully get a good harvest for winter.

  10. My Charlotte potatoes were started in my polytunnel , but they grew too tall , so I placed them outside in semi shade . They weren’t developing any potatoes or very small ones so I have left them , after this heat , then this rain , the buckets I have left have all started putting on stronger green growth , not from new areas , but off the weaker stem at the base , I am wondering if they will go to flower and are they just carrying on from the damage or what ? Not seen this before .
