If a tree is diseased is safe or prudent to plant a new one in the same place?
do you think the previous trees next to the willow didnt take partially due to the willow's "stealing" all the water?
I gotta admit, I have shed-envy. It is perfection.
It's so beautiful. I would sit at that little table and sip tea. I love those spruce; they look like cute Dr. Seuss trees…LOL.
Aron /Aaron … how do you spell that, anyway he is so chill every time he comes around, hands in his pockets lol. I don't know that just struck me as so neat. I love how your garden is coming along. Beautiful!
Epimedium are so easy Laura, you won’t have any trouble with them. I have a load in a pot in part shade, mostly neglected, evergreen in north UK, beautiful long lasting flowers.
You have a generally good channel, but sometimes it's a shame to watch how you don't give plants and trees a second chance and don't even fight for their lives. You cultivate a consumerist philosophy and just throw it in the trash. If a person with mobility impairments were in place of the plant, would you do the same?
Greetings, Laura, from Windermere Florida zone 9b 🇺🇸
Great to watch your Spring season begin again.
I love your new flower shed, too.
Happy Gardening Everyone 👩🌾❤👍
Praying for #3 Spruce ❤
❤Peggy❤
I here ya; I did the same! There are always a few casualties but definitely worth because whatever doesn’t come up; I just put a new tuber in by buying ones from the store or dividing one of my other ones, yay!!!
Have you thought of continuing the boxwood hedge beyond that west side section, toward the south garden, to mirror the driveway, where you have that beautiful fountain. Could create a cozy room effect in that open South facing area💚🌳🌳🌳
Is it orange? It looks brown
Lemony lace elderberry might work with the spruce
You've stood by the lilac so long, but this year your voice sounds like your ready for the lilac to be replaced. All the years you've done your best for it.When I was little I always used lilacs to surprise neighbors with a bouquet on May Day. We'd knock on the door and run and people would find the bouquet on the door. So fun hiding to see people's reaction. Now that's a 60 plus year memory.
Have you ever considered a starch-based tarp? Lasts 3 years but so less micro-plastic contamination into the soil.
Several UK YouTube channels highly recommend them. Including Liz Zorab/Blyther Farm. Her book, Seasoned Gardener, is now available for purchase via Chealsea Green Publishing here in Vermont. Incredible resources!!!
And they don’t sponsor me! HA!!!!
BTW Your obelisks always remind me of oil rigs in the Pacific. Sad!
What brand shoes do you have on? They look so comfy! Thank you. Sooo enjoy you and your family 🥰
Hopefully you will see this today as we are getting a freeze tonight. How do you cover the tree?? What do you use?
I'm really loving the weeping blue spruce. And the garden cottage is soooooo beautiful. All the fruit tree's and the grass with all the little white flower's, also the flower's you planted around the east side of the cottage. It looks wild and magical
I loved seeing the before versus the after at the end of the video. I'd love to see more of that referencing because you have done so much even in the short time you've been there.
I am curious why you would put hosta on the north side of the flower shed. Won't that get too much summer sun?isn't the summer sun in the northern sky?
Laura, did you forget about the lack of gutters on the flower shed and the resulting drip line in your beds?
oh my goodness I have to say you are looking extra beautiful today !! Spring IS showing !! 🙂 Happy lady ! CHEERS !
I have bishops hat or epimedium under maple trees. It has done well. It’s evergreen here I. The greater Seattle area, but I’ve cut it back since the leaves get tattered over the winter.
So exciting for you❣️❤️😊Can’t wait to be able to start gardening again.❣️
