It’s time to fill the raised bed! Come see how I filled my raised garden bed for cheap!
♥About Me♥
Hi Everyone! I’m a city girl from The Bronx, New York now residing in Atlanta, Georgia! I’ve always wanted to start a little garden but never had the space to do it. Last year I tried my hand at planting a few seeds just as an experiment and what do you know I had a full-blown garden in a matter of months. I hope to be able to share my garden experiences, tips, and techniques with you here on my channel. I mostly do container gardening but I’m sure I will be branching out to other ways as I learn. Subscribe to the channel so you can learn with me!

hi ladysmash 🤗
im getting caught up on your videos – this is a great raised bed!
i fill my raised beds with a combo of shipping cardboard boxes and paper, branches, dying/dead leaves, dried grass, blocks of wood and even a light layer of food scraps and put a bit of native or top soil in between each layer. then i finish with the "good" stuff – potting mix, garden soil, peat moss, perlite, cow manure, specific vegetable/fruit food (really whatever is on sale that my purse can afford, because you're right – everything is getting more expensive).
i also put the same in a compost bin (not the expensive stuff) but a lot more food scraps and native or top soil in between to help keep the smell down. i add earthworms from the garden and water to keep the compost bin moist for them.
looking forward to your harvest. tfs
