Sealing your garden beds isn’t necessary (especially if you use heart redwood or cedar, which are already very durable on their own, unsealed) but we did end up sealing the interior of the raised bed with a non-toxic, food-safe wood sealer (linked above) to make the bed last even longer. Applying a sealer BEFORE you build the garden beds is easiest, but we sealed the inside after assembly because I like the look of aged redwood and want the outside to age naturally. 2. Wow! Hands down the best video I've seen for beginners on raised garden beds!! You really went above and beyond what I've seen others do! Thanks so much for sharing!!

  3. Great video, one of the best on raised garden beds and I really like the way you incorporated seating into the whole garden… I have a good amount of land part of which is thru a thinly wooded area and I think I'm going to use your idea to create a big veg garden with seating and entertainment there for the summer months here in NJ. Thank you so much.

But you didn't cover the landscaping cloth part… but I know what to do with it.

  4. I did this a few weeks ago but man we have a lot of stray cats around the property and they tear up our beds and poop everywhere

  5. is that cannabis growing in the cloth buckets? I use the buckets for potatoes since I live on graded ancient Riverbed., it has zero nutritional value for anything to grow in the ground without a raised bed

  6. where can I buy the gopher protection sheet? and what metal is that? Please share the product information.

  7. Talking about "thinking outside of the box." This is one of the most efficient way I have seen thus far.

  8. Hi Deanna
Just started watching your channel. Good job! I noticed the nice ground cover used. What is that? Gravel? If so please elaborate on what type, size and did you use a landscape material laid down prior to the cover? Also how long has it been down?

  9. definitely like the drip irrigation with so many yo just turn on a rap to water numerous beds. noticed you saved a ton of timber and money by not capping
