In this video, we show some of what we have growing in our USDA Zone 7a garden and talk a little about using permaculture zone principles in our garden layout. We also show changes we are making around our coop and greenhouse.

  1. Inspiring as usual! I love the music you all use for these vids, really uplifting.

  2. Everything looks good. Lee and Daniel are a friend's house. I went out to pay some bills and buy some things I was nearly or out of. Have to pay our annual home phone bill (we use magicjack) and I need to reorder my earrings as I lost one at my mother's house. I think I will go for the next size up and maybe a four pack of some blue and green shades. Well I will likely get a midnight, sapphire, olive, and aurora which is blue and green. Plan to get some of the gold shades next time.

  3. The garden is really booming Rob! Thanks for the update, and thanks for standing out in the rain for us 🙂

  4. Thanks for the tour, Rob. You have so many exciting and to me unknown plants in your garden. I envy you all great fig plants. It's something I can not grow in my climate. Lovely flowers on the burdocs and lovely pictures from mrs SG.
    Have a glorious weekend.

  10. Wow, great update! It’s amazing how much you have going on in the backyard gardens! There’s so much variety and what’s amazing is that you can identify it all! So many of the projects you’ve done are similar to projects I’ve done too. Sometimes I just want to tell you how things might turn out because I’ve been there and done that, it’s fun seeing you make the same mistakes as I have but then there’s the times that things work for you but not for me! Always enjoy seeing how others are getting things done! You and Mrs. SG have it all growing on!

  11. Some serious rain going on over there. We got just a sprinkle for a couple hours recently and had flash flood warnings. LOL Thanks tons for the mention. Kiddo has been so excited to see his corn growing all over the country this year. We usually only do 1 container with 3-4 stalks for him but this year it is 3 containers and 11 stalks. You have such a diverse and interesting amount of plants growing. The food and ice cream at the end looked really good too. Thanks for the share!

  12. Hey Rob ,wow you got a lot of tucker growing there excellent gob ,nice pics too God bless Yu Brother 🇦🇺👍

  13. I really enjoy your garden tours😊😊 my garden could definitely get cleaned up from grass trying to take over😟

  14. You have such a beautiful garden and property! It must take a lot of work to keep up with it. You would be soaked if not for the umbrella. I am just amazed by your garden. Enjoy your harvest it's gonna be wonderful. Great pictures, God bless :-):-):-)

  15. Oh No, got caught out in the rain and mosquitoes 😬☔️ Cool that you’re growing and replanting ginger and turmeric, and that would be neat if you could get a pineapple off that bush. Nice to see an update in the garden 😊🪴

  16. I am so very jealous of your garden. So much room mate. The greenhouse is very impressive. I hadn't seen that. And solar powered! The chicken coup looks great as well. I'm big on turmeric and ginger as well: and lemon grass. We eat a lot of curry.

  17. wow everything is looking so great! We live in zone 3 so gardening looks a lot different where we are….or not so different, but just on a later schedule! Thanks for showing us! 🙂

  18. Come to Vegetable Garden tour. You grow many vegetables there. That's great..Yes, when more plant growing more insects and mosquitoes 😊

  19. Covering the fig tree with dry leaves and then a tarp should stave off Mr Frosty .Micro climate helps like the eve of the house or something similar . Planting the fig in the ground is the best as it has a tape root that goes strait down to get minerals and water . The leaves are the best for making soil and brings mineral from deep in the earth .Pineapple will grow in your green house and is tasty .Much love and mad respect fellow earthlings . God is Good
