Today we are talking with my friend Mark about buying land! Should you buy land as a nomad? There are many benefits of owning land, some of which include: You might want to settle down on a piece of land and have a homebase when you are older or sick, you can have a place to go in case of emergencies and you can store water on the land or have rain catchment- just to name a few.

  1. I get it, but i dont think that restrictions on camping on your own property and no drilling for your own water if piped water isnt available can hardly be considered good luck.

  2. I wonder if anyone has ever thought of trying to set up a site where landowners and nomads wanting a place to camp can find each other . I just looked at Hipcamp from a message a viewer mentioned . It would be great if we had something like that . I have land that lots of campers could come to & Id love to have some visitors . Even would consider long term for the right people . Also would love to barter work for camping . I’m not wanting to make money on it either , just as long as I can pay bills & come out even . I’m willing to share what GOD has blessed me with if someone really needs a place to camp . We need to be able to connect people but I barely know how to use internet .
Thanks for opening up a line of communication with other human beings . It’s a great blessing to me .

  3. I just bought land from the owner and it was wayyyyyyy easier than I thought it would be. I'm moving a shed cabin in next week and wish I'd done it sooner! Having a van has been great training.

  4. The only thing I would do differently is put a metal roof on the shed for rainwater collection. Almost have to have some on-site water in order to garden, and AZ does have monsoons where significant water could be collected.

  5. In many counties/states this is not an option. In Colorado, you can only live in an RV/Van for a very limited time. I've researched many counties. The variance is only allowed if building a house. septic and water is required.

  6. We set up a home base at a RV park the park was great but it’s being sold , we want land for our home base for our RV & we have a smaller camper for camping we’re hoping to get land we want to have our own property we don’t want to live on the road out on strange places our feet said put our feet up
    We’re looking in NM

  7. You-tube nomads should buy land together and make communities available for other nomads! Start a fund so low income folks can participate.

  8. Land owners don't pay taxes. Renters do. No matter the excuse. If you owned it then you wouldn't get kicked off if you didn't pay taxes. You pay a fixed amount with promise to pay until you die. S.Dakota doesn't have property taxes I've read but too cold for sure

  9. 5:20-ish — Doctors
I'm 74 and changed my eating habits to eating ONLY ruminate meat, salt and water. My laundry list of former "symptoms" has disappeared! ALL my numbers are good. I am no longer tied to a doctor!

  10. Watch the Youtube by Ron Gibson on his book your land patent. Get your property off the tax rolls of the Counting and own it outright. Or do a search for "bringing your land patent forward" to explore other authors.

  11. I recommend fencing the property. Square pasture fence and posts work well… I literally have an off grid parcel in northern AZ. Biggest problem is the thieving meth heads. Not that there are necessarily more up here on the mountain but the rural environment gives them ample time to scope out property, break in, ransack, loot, destroy, steal … That's why a fence is very wise. Trail cams set very high , hidden, locked in, extremely difficult to find or rip down and steal are wise too .. just in case something happens while you're away… As for internet starlink works and so does Verizon mifi.

  12. Really good show. I've been considering buying a plot of land to park a trailer on, try and get my mind settled in one place. I don't know how much a well and a septic is, but I feel it would have to come NEXT.
