  4. So i planted a sango kaku and a week later we got hit with a surprise frost. It killed everything on the tree. A month later about half way down the tree is a dark gray and now growth has started springing up from the lower half of the tree that still has color. will the other half of the tree rebound or is beyond saving that part? And if that part is dead do i just leave on? Or dose it need to be pruned off?
