Tag along to New York City as we visit the glamorous Manhattan home of interior designer Sophie Sutton! Learn how when Sophie and her husband acquired their 19th century upper east side townhouse, it was in a neglected state of disrepair, without even a kitchen. See how Sophie unified all four floors of the house into a comfortable and elegant home perfect for family and frequent guests. Art plays a major role in the house and you’ll see how Sophie effortlessly melded modern art with antiques and vintage pieces. Watch to see how she transformed her kitchen into a welcoming urban retreat with one side dedicated to work and one to the “pretty stuff.” And learn why Sophie likes townhouse living, where each floor can represent different functions while relating overall. Some may be intimidated by dark rooms, but Sophie embraces them. See how she collaborated with Fromental to create a custom wall covering for her dark and sumptuous dining room and created a dark and cozy man cave for her husband on the bottom floor. Most importantly, you’ll discover how Sophie has created a home that represents her family’s life together, infused with personal collections and art, textiles and mementos of their travels. You’ll be inspired, informed and entertained!!

  1. I'm going to have to re-watch this several times and perhaps reduce the playback speed so I can truly appreciate every little detail. Nothing forgotten. I even love the greenery in clear cylinders in her kitchen. She clearly achieved her goal. Love the levels and access to outdoors! LOVE IT ALL!

  2. I have to be honest.
I’ve been watching your channel off and on for awhile but I have a major issue with your interview style. You get very interesting guests with spectacular homes but YOU TALK WAY TOO MUCH!!!
Stop interjecting so much of your own personal observations and let your guests walk us through their environment with their own descriptions and stories ☺️

  3. Bravo for the mix of eras and color. The moodiness the movement the functionality I wish we could have gotten to see the gardens both Terrace leveling rooftop

  4. A beautiful “modern classic “ house, a bit of 70’s and 80’s. I could see it in a Meryl Streep movie.
I don’t like any of the paintings, sorry, too much for me, but the hand painted dinner walls are gorgeous.
The guest part is a dream.
It looks like a home of a happy family , I hope they are.

  5. I love modern art 🙏🏻😍 I can tell Susanna loved visiting this home & I can see why 🔥🇬🇧

  6. Can you please, I am begging you, stop over talking? Can you do that? You talk over people constantly you won't let them complete their answer you cut them off and it drives me insane. The arrogance and rudeness Hass to stop. Who the Frick do you think you are to do that and you do it so often to your guess on these videos that are gracious enough to let you in their house and to interview them. Please let them talk. There are more important than you are.

  7. I clicked for the painting . Above the sofa. No one said who painted it? Was it Karl Appel or a German expressionist? Julian schnabel? Someone. Who is the painter.??????? It is magnificent .

  8. Очень интересный дом !!! Каждая комната наполнена своим индивидуальным миром красоты и гармонии.

  9. Thank you very much, Suzanna, for this beautiful video. So girly! Very happy to see you again! Keep your wonderful work!
