Hello! My name is Bethany and I grow things insides and outside of my home in Chicago.

In today’s video, I’ll show you how I make tea with dried herbs from my 2022 garden.

  1. I need to bring hot tea 🫖 back into my lifestyle. Not a herb growing yet but I'm thinking about it. The combinations sound delicious.

  2. You saw this already but lemon verbena!! I'm sick with covid and regret not drying more herbs. Really craving some strong tea. Thank you for the loose leaf tea recs. I used to eat drink sugar with everything including tea too. It kind of numbs your taste buds.
Edit:. Also visually I love herbs floating in water. They look pretty so that's why I think a French press is cool

  3. This was so helpful Bethany! Thank you so much for making this video. Now I’m off to make some tea for myself! Lol. And I like that tea pot too. 👍🏻💕👍🏻

  4. I grow peppermint and chocolate mint in my backyard containers and with a good wash and some boiling water I usually enjoy some nice hot tea every morning…. as someone who grew up in the island I love my tea scalding hot 🔥 🥵

  5. Thank you so much for sharing your process. I’d say I need to go seed shopping…again. I bought some chamomile and lemon balm seeds to try. Jess from Roots and Refuge makes basil iced tea, so I’m trying several varieties of basil. I’m dehydrating lemons, oranges, lemon and orange rind right now, I wonder if a little of either would taste good? Looking forward to experimenting.
